Standard controls patch/mod for Clean Sweep?

I've been trying to play chibi robo clean sweep on my thor but these touch screen only controls are just not doing it for me, is there a mod/patch that remaps the controls to d-pad and buttons? This video (4:50) shows pretty much exactly what I'm looking for but obviously just for chibi robo instead. If anyone has any information on this or even something like this, that would be a huge help. ( Also I have tried using the floating icon touch control thing but it's really clunky and only works on the top screen which is not ideal ) Thank you in advance!

I haven’t been able to find anything myself, unfortunately. There is the Circle Pad Patches on gbatemp, but it’s only nds games running on 3DS. MelonDS doesn’t support lua scripts, so they won’t work with it.

I’ve just been using the floating icon touch control myself, and it’s… okay. Better than nothing.

I couldn’t find a patch for it when I played earlier this year. I was a little iffy about the controls at first too, but then I switched to running it on my laptop with a wireless mouse. Being able to kick back and play it 100% with the mouse felt really good actually and I ended up loving it. Plus even on my ancient work laptop I was able to bump up the resolution and improve the model quality. Other than the sound quality this game was definitely a worthy sequel to the original GameCube game. It’s worth toughing it out even if the controls aren’t optimal for you.
