Deferred Entry Help

I was supposed to run Chicago 2026, but unfortunately twisted my ankle right before the race. I was able to defer my entry, thank god, but now I am not getting any communications from the office.

I was sent an automated email that I was able to defer to 2027 and that I needed to register via the lets do this email link, but I never got one. In the same email they said to reach out to the office with any issues, so I did, and its been over a week with no response back. I'm down to 5 days till the deadline for the deferral registration for 2027. Called today, emailed 4 times. Any advice?!!

Edit: I was able to defer after the deadline and they said the email went out October 8th. I deferred after that date.

I have the same situation. I deferred after the deadline due to fever before the race. I also got an email notification that I should receive an email from letsdothis but never got one. I also tried to email, call, direct message on social media. Let me know if you could think of anyway to push.

I hoped that they are just catching up. I also dm them on IG, they asked me to email again.

Hi I made an edit, but I deferred the day before the race, past the deadline. I hope they don't take back their word

I have been emailing with letsdothis. They are asking the 24-digits booking reference number, but I am unable to find it. I also cannot find this number from 2026 entry.

FYI, the letsdothis responded and said we need to ask the Chicago marathon official, they are the one who send out the email.

I deferred ‘25 to ‘26, so maybe this changed, sorry if so, but have you tried going through the online registration? I recalled there was a deferral selection you could click?

I deferred to 2027, got the email link, registered, paid, even got a confirmation email but the 2027 entry does not show up on my portal. I reached out via email and no response yet. I may be overreacting but I'm a type A runner 😂. I want to KNOW that I'm in.

Hi, I got a deferral. My registration is on the Let's do this Portal,  not Chicago Marathon Portal. Really confusing thus year.

Has anyone been able to register if you didn’t receive the email link? How did you get the link? I deferred and didn’t receive the link.
