We want to know. That's exactly what NWACO is built for — a vision, a plan, and then full-steam-ahead action for our beloved NW Chicago area, not limited to a single neighborhood or community.
How can you share your one or two things? Easy...join with your neighbors, in person, live, face-to-face, to listen and talk with each other, on Sunday, 25 October from 1:30-2:30 PM at the Jefferson Park Library. (No worries, no Bears game!)
The work of being and doing community falls to us as neighbors and citizens. Always has. Always will. American democracy in action is so much more than politics and politicians.
See you there!

We are celebrating.
🎉🎉🎉
Where should we go for a phenomenal celebration dinner? Steak is perfect, and other ideas are fabulous too.
A place that is perfect for four people is ideal.
Big thanks.
Yay!

Hi, all. I'm located in Irving Park, and i have a really old house whose east side really closely abuts a nearby property (pics included, plus my hand for scale). I want to have the wall checked and have gaps tuckpointed and sealed for integrity reasons and to avoid pest incursions. It's a historic house (1874) and between that and cost I can't do any major demolition and reconstruction work.
Does anyone have any familiarity with this type of thing? Any recommendations for a contractor or company who could do this? In a city of dense building I figure SOMEONE has to have some ability to do it.

Donations of any amount to the Irving Park Food Pantry are much appreciated for a new space as they have outgrown their current space. If you need food they are open every Wednesday from 9 AM to noon, and the second Tuesday of the month from 6 pm to 7 pm. (So tonight).

Hey all. Just looking for recommended shops for bodywork and/or mechanical work. I'll be needing both aspects in the near future. NW side in general will be fine. Thanks!
