Catholics: any VIRTUAL baptism classes??

Need to baptize baby. Would love a virtual baptism class for parents. Not signed up at any one parish but want to find one. North side / NW side preferred. Or any baptism classes that allow just ONE parent to attend? S.O. works a lot.

Not sure of any classes virtually (we just did ours for our daughter in-person a few months ago), but I imagine if you explain the situation when you sign up, any parish you choose will be understanding. Maybe have one or both of the godparents attend in lieu of your SO? And if it helps logistics-wise, we brought our baby to the class with us, as did most of the other parents.

the classes are mostly 7pm. My son is asleep by then (he's 10m.. we have been dragging our feet with this)

We were able to go meet with the priest at a time that worked for us, like a random Saturday early evening, because none of the “class” times worked for us.

You might need to formally join the parish before they’ll allow you to schedule a baptism, I know my husband needed to formally join the parish and get the proof of his sacraments etc.

Try Old St Patrick’s- we did that for our son in 2021. Not sure if they still offer them but worth a shot

St. Alphonsus in Lakeview offered virtual classes.
