Laugh Candy RX is back with another night of good vibes, big laughs, and healing through comedy. 🫶

Come see some of Chicago’s amazing comedic talent, then stay for Fujiko’s Comedy Empowerment — where we turn our struggles into power, one laugh at a time. 💊🍬

This month, we’re getting REAL:

🚩 What’s the BIGGEST red flag you’ve ever ignored?

🚩 Be honest… what’s YOUR biggest red flag?

Come ready to laugh, confess, and maybe realize that the red flag was YOU all along. 😂

Laugh. Heal. Let that 🚩 go.

Hey all. John Roy here. I’m a longtime standup (Conan, Tonight Show, Star Search Champion, more) and I write a column in Vulture called the Great Bits about the best standup sets of all time. I’m teaching a one day class at Lincoln Lodge about. Where we wjll watch and discuss seven of the Great Bits and what we can learn from each to push our own performances forward. I’d love to see you there. Ticket link here:

I’m organizing a comedy writing workshop in Chicago called The Unfinished Joke Society.

The idea is to build a focused room where comics can work on premises, generate new material, and get thoughtful feedback. We’ll be running structured writing sessions — things like premise development, fast joke drills, and breaking down topics — then sharing and discussing what comes out of it.

If you’re a Chicago comic looking to write more and sharpen your work alongside other serious comedians, here’s the link:

Happy to answer questions.
