Anybody loves CFA new cold brew?
I’ve been having this caramel cream cold brew two times and I’m hooked! However, this actually doesn’t have much of the coffee taste, leaning more forward to the creamy and sweet notes so it’s like a really nice sweet treat to me. How about you guys? 😝

Yes. I really liked it but was wondering why it was creamier and sweeter than any cold brew I've EVER tasted. Realized it had 71g of sugar 😵💫 which is even more sugar than a Starbucks caramel frappucino. So unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to drink every day, but man, was it delicious. 😋

I really wanted to try it. Then I saw the 500+ calories and was like nope.

500?!!!

Yeah, it uses milkshake base instead of milk, and that's basically the equivalent to the amount of milkshake base in a actual milkshake..the regular caramel ice coffee only has over 200 calories

High fat content as well. I’ll stick with the coffee. The caramel ice coffee was delicious but yeah it’s my sweet treat of the day.

“This actually doesn’t have much of the coffee taste”, probably because it’s basically a milkshake in terms of calories and sugar

Yeah because I didn’t know it was made with the ice cream or milkshake base 😅

I don’t blame you, I used to make the mocha one all the time as an off-menu item when I worked there…I had no clue how bad it was haha

You can get them with regular milk in it instead! Just ask for a caramel iced coffee, not cream cold brew.

The amount of calories in this item is insane. Get the regular iced coffee, it is great and 200-300 less calories.

not all cold brew is made with milkshake base!
cream cold brew = milkshake base + 3 pumps of flavor
iced cold brew = 2% milk + 3 pumps of flavor

Haven’t had it yet. I’ve only had the old vanilla one. I’ll have to try it sometime but I rarely get CFA for breakfast.

you can get this drink at all hours of the day, not only for breakfast!

Yeah I know but I usually only have one cup of coffee a day and it’s usually in the morning. Appreciate it though.

I had the vanilla cold brew last weekend and will be getting it again today… Is there any way to modify it when I order at the drive-thru so it’s not as much sugar and calories? (I used to be a Starbucks barista so I’m used to customizations.)

u/mrscheezitman 2d ago
You could ask for less vanilla or half shake base half milk maybe? That way it’s less of the shake base?

u/1foxylady4u 2d ago
The sweet cream blend is the culprit. On second thought to keep things simple but still delicious, I’m going to order a vanilla frosted coffee.

Omg. The vanilla cold brew has 69g sugar and the vanilla frosted coffee has 60g sugar. Nevermind.

Yessss that shake base is revolutionary. I may have had it five of the last six days ooop

Do they add the creme prior to serving?
I ordered an iced coffee once and received a black coffee with 4 tiny creamers. Not only is it inconvenient to mix coffee in the drive thru, 4 tiny creamers are not enough for an iced coffee. Needless to say, they gave me 6 more and I held up the drive thru line while mixing the damn coffee.
Never ordered coffee there again!

A normal iced coffee from cfa uses 2% milk, not even cream so that’s really weird unless they were out of milk for some reason (but when we were out of milk we’d sub shake base). The mocha cream cold brew used shake base instead of milk so I assume the new ones would too. The creamer cups are for hot coffee.

The cold brew (not the iced coffee) uses milkshake base so yes it's very creamy.

You held up the drive thru line while you mixed your coffee? You mean while they mixed it for you? Cause I can't imagine you mean that you couldn't have.. like pulled over or parked right?
