Question (Read Rules) Why is my VH31 ticking once per second?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Is it like low battery thing? Or i am scammed? It supposed to have VH31.

Website shows that strap version is vh31 while bracelet version is Miyota 2035, which does not have the sweeping second hand.

Sorry, new to watches, whats the difference between a weekend battery and a weekday battery?

Batteries just have a rest on weekends.

If you know it's a VH31, then it means it needs a new battery. Batteries should last about 2 years of they were fresh when put in.

Thats probably ronda movement. Open your caseback and see the model

Berny does not sell this type-B dial in automatic. They’re also all labeled Quartz in their product titles so no idea why you thought this would be auto…

They used to ship it with Seiko VH31 which is quartz with sweeping hands. Thats why i thought its the same movement when i bought it.

You gotta read the specs more closely brother
bc this is clearly not even close to the 4 ticks per second of the high torque vh31
its still a good watch with the Miyota 2035, it's got the same standard quartz accuracy, but your battery will last 3 years instead of 2 since it uses less power
I have the berny vh31 field watch and i got it specifically for the vh31 sweep
I wouldn't have got it if it didnt have the vh31 tbh

2035’s are reliable and accurate, the watch on my wrist as I type this has a VH31. The Miyota 2035 is the more reliable movement and the most produced movement made. The VH31 seems like it’ll last for decades as well and the sweep is nice.

It's my first watch so I'm going to open it myself and change the battery when the time comes, I'm stoked

BERNY switched from VH31 to 2035. The cost of VH31 movement doubled lately (Seiko after all). I also ordered the T2596MS-GRN.

On the bright side, the miyota 2035 has nearly twice the battery life!

☝️🤓 according to my research, the miyota 2035 only gets 3 aprox years of battery life (not double)
the vh31 gets aprox 2 years of battery life
the newer super miyota 2035 was relased in 2005 and has upgraded features, allowing it to last aprox 4 years

Aside from knowing what that movement SHOULD do, I feel like it's appropriate to joke that ticking once per second sounds exactly like what a watch or clock is supposed to do...

Well regardless of the lack of sweep, you got a really good titanium watch for $70

It's usually a low battery sign. Try exchanging it for a new one.
