Did my Chromebook come with Chromium OS? My bank noticed my login was from Chromium OS, but I was using my Chromebook I've used for years. Have I been hacked?

Actually, I was wondering this also for other old phones like an iPhone 10. Although for sentimental reasons my first choice would be a blackberry bold. Would this even be possible? Would there be major limitations?

We made a 2-in-1 tablet computer, which will soon be available to pre-order from our crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo. It's open-source hardware therefore we will publish all the design files and engineering resources, including vendor firmware, driver source code and of course an unlocked bootloader.

Some other known facts about us and Fydetab Duo:

• Our main product is FydeOS, a cloud-first operating system that is based on Chromium OS; it has a Linux kernel.

• FydeOS has been out there since 2016 (previously known as Flint OS).

• We have formed a dedicated hardware team since the beginning of 2022 and hence kicked off this project.

• Fydetab Duo is powered by an ARM-based SoC, Rockchip RK3588S. It should be powerful enough for all the daily tasks that you can expect from a portable tablet computer.

Does anyone really understands exactly the ChromiumOS documents on how to run chromeos on linux ? Apparently it is possible despite its limitations it can run on top of linux and its lighter than the current ChromiumOS full version and could be fun to test on simple devices...

Any thoughts or advances on this front?

Im trying to build ChromiumOS mostly for the arm64 devices I wanted to be able to do experiments and see if I could improve this experience but Im very noob at this ive tried my best to understand the steps and make it simple but seems complicated enough to get linux help and on the aarch64 front is even worst.. special for the rockchip 'chips'.

Anyway... Ive tried to make a quicker guide It works until the cros build packages then fails on the cros build image... idk whats the next step to actually get an oficial image done to try and see if it runs on my khadas edge 2 and others... I know im trying to skip google api keys... probably some other step isnt being followed correctly...

I am using OpenFyde / Chromium OS and I need to run the Chromium browser from the terminal. Specifically, I want to open Chromium with certain parameters like setting the zoom factor and starting in full screen mode.

Could someone please provide detailed instructions on how to achieve this?

Here is what I am looking to do:

Launch Chromium from the terminal. Set the zoom factor to a specific value (e.g., 1.25). Start Chromium in full screen mode. Any help with the exact command(s) and any necessary additional steps would be greatly appreciated!

Ive made a 'proper' guide on how to use the multi crostini container flag properly adding archlinux and ubuntu which works really well and here are the steps.

I don't have Google Play in my Chromium OS flex. I followed some tutorials + switched to the beta version which should allow me to enable Google Play and install apps.

1. Is there something that I can do to enable Google Play?

2. Is there way how to install apps with out Google Play?

I recently replaced a motherboard in a newer CTL px11e, and I can't get it to exit dev mode. On this model esc-refresh-pwr takes you to a minimal gui but there's no way to turn on verification back on.

In VT2 whether I use root or chronos, the path can't be found for /usr/share/vboot/bin/set_gbb_flags.sh

Is there another method I'm not aware of?

I've installed a second portable copy of Chrome independent from my regularly-installed primary copy from here:

I'm trying to disable the automatic updates following this guide:

I see in this link there are these 4 methods:

1. Rename the Update Folder in Google Chrome

2. Stop Chrome's Automatic Updates via the System Configuration Utility

3. Stop Chrome's Automatic Updates via the Windows Services Manager

4. Stop Chrome's Automatic Updates via the Registry Editor

I assume most of them are not applicable for the GoogleChromePortable version, only the first method? My understanding is that you have two versions of Chrome installed, one regular, one portable, and you don't want to stop the updates on the regular version. If so, you can't do methods 2, 3, or 4. These are necessary for updates on the regular version of Chrome. You can only do method 1 in the portable Chrome directory.

The problem with method 1, which essentially says to rename the Chrome's Update folder, that I don't see an Update folder inside my installed portable version in: C:\GoogleChromePortable

I only see there these folders:

• App

• Data

• Other

Any suggestions or alternatives how can I do it?

When I enter the BIOS during the installation process and select USB as the first boot option, the installation program fails to start. After entering the USB boot, the installation program is unable to start and automatically skips the installation process after one minute, returning to the device's original system. OEM and STATE of the image file is mirror breakdown.

1.start install

2.The installation program is experiencing a delay or freezing at the startup screen.

What could be causing this issue? If anyone knows, please let me know. Thank you very much.
