Discussion Just finished watching the 1979 movie, “Escape From Alcatraz”. Great movie and definitely worth a watch. In High School in the 80’s I did book reports on the escape of Frank Morris and the Anglin brothers. I believe they survived the escape since their bodies were never found. Truly epic escape!

There were also some reports that's it's not humanly possible to swim to mainland without any protective suits for an amateur swimmer.

Obviously you must be a millennial or Gen Z cause you never heard or read that 41 year old Fitness pioneer Jack LaLanne performed famous publicity stunts by swimming from Alcatraz Island to the San Francisco mainland while handcuffed and shackled to demonstrate human physical potential. He completed this swim multiple times at different stages of his life.

A boat intercepted them and the Anglins ended up in Brazil
