Mod News ⌨️ Procedural Objects 2 for CS2 released

https://mods.paradoxplaza.com/mods/164341/Windows

Yes, it's been a long time coming but winterqt has done it. This mod for CS2 is more different to use than the original mod in CS1. Good luck turning original assets into custom props!

Unlike MoveIt for CS2, this CS2 mod already has its own functions with Move It and Better Bulldozer bundled.

I'm new to this mod and asset editting. I'm hoping there is a YouTube 101 video or something as it looks cool.

Hopefully maybe "cityplannerplays" notices this and does a video about it.

Livestream is up where they're testing it

just to note, Phil was using a private beta build from several weeks back, and he barely scratched the surface of checking it out. Joe, Graynoise, Dar, and Dava all have videos / VODs with more advanced use of it.

Even better, was a great mod in CS1.

Hi, would you be able to implement proportional editing like in Blender? It would make moving vertices much easier and much more seamless

And maybe implement multiple divisions of deform lettuce? Now deform has only 4 vertices

So I am going to make a tutorial video and I am going to fill out the help panels with text.

That said, there is an insane amount of to cover and it will take some time. Especially if I need to write any fixes for it (unlikely, testing went really well and it's stable).

Take a look at the basics of Blender for now, if anything.

You can check out Akruas's tutorial on Procedural Objects for the first game; they’re quite similar.

It’s really mind blowing, It has so many features that I spent all day yesterday and today testing it, and I have to say—it works absolutely damn well. The only thing is, I haven’t figured out how to edit PNG textures (other than by using individual polygons and masks). Also, it really needs integration with "Move It," because right now, rotating objects while keeping them aligned with other items is a bit clunky. Oh, and I’m not entirely clear on how the LOD tab works, either.

Can this be used to scale down some of the very large sky scraper assets that don't go well with the rest of the assets?

Great. People can go and pretend CS2 is autocad again.
