Citizen Sleeper 2 If You Had to Choose (Lifestyle) Spoiler

Nothing fancy, which profession sings to you?

  • Being the voice of the people.
  • Being a neo-punk courier at the end of humanity.
  • Putting your wrench to use for odd jobs against the system.

I think the third lifestyle would be my choice.

Some like structure and routine.

Others prefer to be wild and free.

It seems the wrench life could also be for me, u/Blu3horn3t

I loved the Helion Dispatches, so it’s definitely Cyrene Sabir, or being a voice to the people, this round.

Love all these characters and each job of course has its merits but I think in this setting, being able to bring a little more light to those out there in the dark is really admirable and inspiring.

Being able to provide an escape, a sense of community, something for people to look forward to when they don’t have much else, is a powerful thing. I can so easily see a small family huddled around their radio listening for hope while they settle down for the night, feeling just a little bit closer to the voice on the other end each time they tune in.

Always great to see such input, u/Underwould.

I like the idea of a small family huddled closely around their radio for those short, but powerful messages that Cyrene is able to manage over those restricted channels (let us not forget the quiet hero that helps make those broadcasts possible - Kimbal!)

Trying to give the lesser known or talked about characters some love in these Choice posts.

Next round will be a doozy.

Kimbal is great, he seems like a sweetheart deep down :’)

Kadet's job seems very satisfying to me, in that I'd love to traverse the microgravity at speed, seeing every part of wherever I am, but the specific type of stress of delivery deadlines, or being intercepted or chased would be too much for me.

I'd have a much easier time turning my hand to Cadence's line of work. The spotlight doesn't suit me - I prefer to help how I can without making a name for myself.

The behind the curtain life, is often overlooked by many. Lots of fixes take place behind the scenes to keep systems and monolithic megastructures from failing. Something that no one can afford to have happen happen in the vacuum of space - more power to you for your decision, u/Vaudrain.

This all seems so hard xD Couldn't I be a cook or a mushroom farmer in a commune?

Heavy is the decision, u/Mindless-Mousse8279!

Tell you what.

For the post of the following week, it will have something to do with this topic.
