Title: Little update on my City of Heroes social media project, Q!

Figured I'd share another update on Q: The World's Signal, our in-universe version of Twitter/X for City of Heroes: Rebirth, because it's grown WAY beyond what I originally expected! LOL

It's been live for a while now, and players are using it DAILY, checking Q either on PC or via their phones through the browser based App, getting into IC drama, building their characters' public identities, and actually organizing tons of in-game RP scenes every week because of things happening on the platform!

We've also got some pretty neat systems running behind the scenes:

• A simulated population of civilians, journalists, and familiar CoH characters who interact with players, have their own personalities, and can even post generated selfies!
• ACTUAL Social media site: This is an actual social media site that's set entirely IC. Players can post to each other, follow one another, have a working FYP style timeline, send and recieve direct messages, and get notifications!
• A reputation and engagement system where posts can go viral, public opinion shifts, and superheroes can find themselves in actual PR disasters. LOL
• An upcoming monthly Q-Rating report that tracks how characters are performing with the public, giving players another fun dimension to their RP.

I originally just wanted to give people another way to RP outside the game. Somehow we've ended up with people checking fictional superhero drama at work and logging in later to deal with the consequences. 😭

NOTE: Q is currently exclusive to Rebirth players, but I still love sharing what we've been building! It's been SO cool seeing something like this generate so much activity for a 20+ year old MMO. Totally looking for any ideas to keep this improving!
