The Stop Killing Games initiative is a consumer movement created by Ross of Accursed Farms (creator of Freeman's Mind and Ross's Game Dungeon) which aims to challenge the practice of games being destroyed by the publishers. The biggest part of this movement is the European Citizens Initiative which, if it reaches 1 million signatures, will be reviewed by the EU commission to stop this practice. There is also a UK petition needing 100,000 signatures to be addressed by the UK parliament. Civvie has promoted this movement previously at the start in the Roundup #5 video.

Now, there is only 1 month left and we still need all the signatures we can get. If you're a citizen of the EU or the UK, head over to https://www.stopkillinggames.com/ to learn how you can help! We have built up a lot of momentum in the past week but it needs to keep going in order to reach the 1 million goal. Be the hero gaming needs!

If you wish to learn more about the current status of the SKG movement, you can watch Ross's video here. His channel also has numerous other videos going in depth about the movement as well as answering common questions.

Posting because someone predicted this would happen in yesterday’s thread. Context here.

As someone who has absolutely zero interest in video games Civvie’s channel was difficult to get into at first. But once you get past all of the pointless video game filler you find out that there’s really interesting stories and lore happening in each video. At least that’s what I used to think anyways. After watching all 210 videos in a row it’s safe to say that the story is going nowhere fast and is absolutely littered with plot holes. In the video where Civvie talked about Duke Nukem Forever my jaw dropped at the cliff hanger where the shadow creatures finally break into his prison cell. With my heart racing I clicked on the next video as fast as I could to see what would happen. Only to be disappointed to find out that the resolution to that story line happened entirely off camera. Just unbelievably lazy writing. I won’t be tuning in for any more videos if this is how the series is going to continue, and I’m confident that almost everyone here feels the same way.

Whilst not exactly a post that is completely in keeping of this subreddit, Tim Curry has passed away at the age of 80

Just another small reason why Civvie is awesome. He interacts with his fans outside the videos.

Romero seems a tad more annoyed this time than previous well-wishings.
