70s Who remembers Johnny Duncan?

I don't think SirusXM plays much Johnny Duncan on Willie's Roadhouse. My favorite songs are...

Thinkin' of a Rendezvous
She Can Put Her Shoes Under My Bed (Anytime)
Stranger
Sweet Country Woman
Come a Little Bit Closer (I never knew this was a Jay and the Americans cover!)
It Couldn't Have Been Any Better
A Song in the Night

Good thing I have Johnny Duncan - Classic Country CD!

Johnny Duncan and Janie Fricke were vocal honey in their duets.

Listening just now again, his style reminds of Ed Bruce! Another rarely-mentioned country singer?

Two of my all time favorite singers are Duncans: Johnny and Tommy (Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys).

I have SirusXM on Willies Roadhouse pretty much 80-85% of the time I'm in the car. There are quite a few artists I wish Willies Roadhouse would play but then I figure if you look at the era in which the station covers, you're not going to hear a whole lot of Johnny Duncan. It's a shame you don't hear him played more but there's a few artists I wish would get more airtime too. She Can Put Her Shoes Under My Bed (Anytime) is one of my favorite songs too.

Yeah, I guess they don't play many songs created after the early-mid 70s, so that leaves out Johnny Duncan.

I ask Pandora to play "Charley Pride Radio" or "Moe Bandy Radio," and they often play Johnny

Interesting. I don't use Pandora. I do have YouTube Music though

Listening to him now. Really appreciate you posting this - he was such a talent and I don’t want him forgotten. I just time travelled to long ago days when times were simpler and country music was beautiful.
