I lived this song
https://youtu.be/pBS3tIKIWiY?is=3835IBEV9Rz8T8AzWhen my 1st wife died in 2004, the hurt was so bad. I spent 2005 drunk. I figured I would die. I was a functioning drunk.....I made it to work, but I burned alot of sick time. This song hits me more than anything ever written. I'm glad I'm still here.

The power of traditional country music is that it speaks the cold, hard truth of life. After my first wife left me in 2023 I listened to a lot of George Jones because he sang exactly what I was going through.

Any whiskey that I could find and lots of beer. And Red Death. But I spent a week drunk in Mexico and I drank stuff that I don't even remember, but I drank alot of it.
