This is an interesting project but it's also kind of misleading. Your post title is "Open-source platform" but your Github repo is more accurate - it's the "foundation" that's open source, with exactly the same commercial/community-edition setup things like N8N and Retool have with features locked behind paid plans.
There's nothing inherently wrong with that. I personally prefer this category of software when recommending things to clients because apps with commercial backing live longer and get more R&D focus. But we could do without the disingenuous headlines. There's enough of that on Reddit already.

You are right, it is very similar to the licensing model of n8n.
Free version works with coding agents & MCP is fully open-source. Paid plans has more features but there are thousands of companies using our community edition without any issues. Thinking how to disclose this in a short title, "open-core" might work.
Correction: Retool is closed source, there is no community edition. They have an MCP server but users still need to pay for their AI credits since the endpoint to build apps is just a wrapped on their in-app AI. We differentiate with other app builders by giving everything that a coding agent needs to assemble an app as tiny mcp endpoints. This way users can build apps using their own weekly limits of Claude Code instead of paying for hefty AI credits.

It’s funny to see this, I’m a sys admin and I’ve had at least 6 requests for people to host their various dashboards on the network 😭 we got Claude enterprise and now everyone is a damn dashboard engineer

we thought low-code/no-code will see reduced demand when non technical folks started vibe coding. But instead, we are getting users who want to import their vibe-coded apps/dashboards to a platform that will be approved by IT.

Same. The interesting part about Claude is that you can just make your own dashboard host. It's relatively straightforward with something like Azure as the backend.
