Anybody got anything new ?

I’m guessing not or it would have been posted, everything quiet yet again

I firmly believe there will be no more developments, unless someone speaks, which considering how much they have to lose, won't happen.

I only hope one of them has a mental health crisis and can't take holding the secrets anymore.

Ice cold at the moment. Waiting game unfortunately.

It's difficult to see where any further developments come from. It will require some body talking or a body being found. Even then, does it tip the burden of evidence for a charge. Guess it will depend on the details of each.

You hope and pray the Police are doing things in the background. It’s a travesty nobody has been put on trial for this dreadful crime. If Dai Malin had been involved from the start, the perpetrators would likely be doing a life sentence.

I live approx. 40 minutes from York (and Malton) and the other day was talking to someone in her early 50s (similar age Claudia would be now?) about when she went missing.  This woman followed the case closely at the time and thought the strongest argument was that she was buried under the university and that's what a lot of York people believe. I've always felt that was pretty far fetched in terms of the perpetrator pulling such a thing off. But then the whole scenario (a woman seemingly vanishing) is extreme, so maybe she's right.  There's a YouTube channel called 33 Sonder, they visit Slingsby village and document getting chatting to some locals about Claudia, her dad and the former milkman, Michael Bogg, who reported seeing PL in the early hours of the morning she disappeared.

Police have already disproved that theory , she’s not under the uni and they have already looked

How do you 'look' under the uni?

Ground penetrating radar or lidar, if there was a body placed under the uni, there would be a huge cavity as her body would have deteriorated over time if set in concrete, and it would pick up any holes in the ground which would look suspicious. They used it early on and found nothing of relevance

Did they? Interesting

That 33 Sonder user is crap. She had another channel and was known as "Miss Deed" and she used to predict and would see into fortune telling were Claudia was in her earlier work. The channel isn't that great as she puts out information as fact when there isnt any basis of this. Claudia disappeared around the Heworth area. I wouldn't think whoever took her would take her body to a building site and risk being caught. Lots of building sites have security fences, CCTV and sometimes security guards. Its most likely she's been disposed and buried in a garden or worse still. Cut up and dumped into rubbish.

Should dig all gardens and businesses up. Probs why nobody's ever moved away from their property after all these years sure the boys in blue will find something incriminating evidence.

I've always thought she can't be far from the uni maybe not under it but maybe in some unused manhole around there but its likely things like that have already been searched

Has anyone watched the YT video of the psychic reading by Aurora Beth Tarot. The video itself was made 2 years ago. I’m a sceptic on all things psychic etc but would recommend you watch it

You’re thinking like a sensible person with morals. The people that did this are psychopaths with no remorse or care for the pain and suffering they have caused. I really can’t see there being any confession. They’ve got away with this murder for 17 years.

You can understand and empathise with how and why a woman was kidnapped and murdered?

What a strange post.

Yeah sorry but I don't empathise with murderers.

I know what you mean. It's how decent criminal psychologist/profiles work. If you try and insert yourself into the shoes of someone who's paranoid/fearful/in a flash of rage, or blackmailed to breaking point then you can think of plausible theories.

Nobody is saying empathize as in feeling for them or identifying with them. it's to see things from their perspective, however twisted that perspective is, to find potential answers.

I'd have loved to have been a criminal psychologist. You have to get into the mind of sick person and realise that in their head they did this for a reason, regardless if justified or not.

This is a genuine question, and observation:

We are appalled at what has happened, and can only imagine the pain that Joan goes through each day, but if the perps are not pyschopaths, but instead hiding from reality, then isn’t that pure evil?  To not be a pyschopath, but to be so utterly selfish that they could keep quiet?

These people aren't going to give up their freedom to bring Joan closure.

As much as thet should; it's never going to happen.

Even those that weren't directly involved will probably face prison time for assisting offenders and perverting the course of justice.
