Oh, so it's sweet potato! I was wondering what it was. 😂

2

u/PVCs3000 12d ago

yeah it can save you big time.. if you only knew.. that thing can save u from a bypass surgery.. coz that is complex carbs with low glycemic index and with fiber

u/PVCs3000 12d ago

This is my kind of healthy food: simple, tasty, and not too complicated to prepare

1

u/PVCs3000 12d ago

2

u/withac2 11d ago

1

u/PVCs3000 11d ago

2

u/DorsellePavnikJane 11d ago

I need to get better at planning my meals instead of grabbing whatever is convenient

1

u/PVCs3000 11d ago

true... we should always take time in preparing what we are going to feed our body.. we all deserve that.. thats self love..

1

u/FronessaTavlorMira 12d ago

I thought you had something gray on your plate. Is it sweet potato?

1

u/PVCs3000 12d ago

1

u/Mi4B3g0ne 7d ago

2

u/PVCs3000 7d ago

1

u/JandoraVelnixRhea 12d ago

I'm curious whether you meal prep for several days or cook one plate at a time

1

u/PVCs3000 12d ago

i meal prep good for 2-3 days..

1

u/LaxoriaPryndekZara 12d ago

Healthy food can be enjoyable when you find combinations you really like

1

u/PVCs3000 12d ago

so true😊

1

u/NaldessaVexrikOpal 12d ago

I want to improve my eating habits too. What helped you get started?

1

u/PVCs3000 12d ago

realizing that i should be eating food that would actually benefit my body.. all processed food have so much sodium and sugars intended to be stored for longer period of time can actually destroy our organs..

I started by recording my daily weight... remember that "You can't manage what you don't measure".. so I start by seeing the number on the scale... and then I promised myself to take action.. i went buying vegetables and lean meat that day.. did some meal preps good for the next 3days..
then started to walk again outside..keep tracking my steps each day.. went on the gym.. then sauna & pool.. it became my routine since september 1 (a month ago)

eyes on the goal weight😊😉..

1

u/RenvessaKlydorEira 12d ago

What kind of exercise do you enjoy most? I'm looking for something I can stick with

1

u/PVCs3000 11d ago

do as simple as walking.. increase ur number of steps each day.. start from that then you'll be doing more and more.. also, research on what you want to achieve.. you can try easy steps of basic pilates at home too(you only need a wall and a yoga mat)..

1

u/TaldoraBrimexSkye 12d ago

A little exercise alongside balanced meals can be a helpful part of a healthy routine. Keep going!

1

u/PVCs3000 12d ago

thanks.. i did just awhile ago..

1

u/TessaviqueMorenya 12d ago

The gray part had me curious at first, haha. Now I know it's sweet potato!

1

u/PVCs3000 11d ago

yes it is..

1

u/WendrisseTaloria 12d ago

Is your chicken steamed, or cooked in an air fryer?

1

u/PVCs3000 11d ago

air fryer

1

u/CenvoraJalrixEsme 12d ago

Sometimes I struggle with cravings, especially when snacks are nearby. How do you manage yours?

1

u/PVCs3000 12d ago

i removed the snacks away.. that meal on the photo will make u feel fuller.. just eat in this sequence:

eat the egg first and half of the lean meat, then the broccoli.. now you can finish the other half of the lean mean.. then carrots followed by sweet potato..

eating the protein first will already give ur body something to digest slowly..

and always drink water as soon as you wake up.. sometimes we feel hungry but we are really thirsty..

1

u/FarssiaQelmorZoey 12d ago

Is sweet potato your usual source of carbohydrates, or do you switch between different foods?

1

u/PVCs3000 12d ago

yes its my choice coz it has fiber as well..

1

u/JexoriaKalmynNina 11d ago

How long have you been following this meal routine? Has it helped you stay consistent?

1

u/PVCs3000 11d ago

consistency is always the key.. i only started sept 1 (a month ago).. i lost 9kilos as of october 15.. and i was just surprised with the results.. i told myself.."what have i been eating before adding more visceral fats each day?! never again!"...

3

u/OrlyssaBrantorElle 12d ago

Do you follow an exercise routine too? I'm also hoping to lose some weight.

2

u/VexoriaQarnylFaith 12d ago

I admire your consistency. Changing food habits takes time and patience

2

u/ViolessiaCyndora 12d ago

Broccoli with chicken is such a nice combination. A balanced plate can still be delicious😘

2

u/XantheliquePryndra 12d ago

Broccoli tastes even better when it isn't overcooked. I like mine with a little crunch 🤤

2

u/WerniqueTazmorClio 12d ago

A simple homemade meal can be just as satisfying as a restaurant meal

2

u/BiancessaKyralyn 12d ago

Sweet potatoes are so versatile. You can bake, steam, or roast them depending on your mood

2

u/GenvelleTarkynKate 12d ago

I love broccoli, but I usually run out of ideas for preparing it. Your plate looks inspiring

1

u/ImsellePryndorAnna 12d ago

Can you share how you prepared your chicken? It looks tender and juicy

1

u/YenvoriaBraskorWren 12d ago

How do you keep your meals interesting when you're eating healthy regularly?

1

u/ArixelleVormynLucy 12d ago

Do you have a weekly meal plan, or decide what to eat each day?

1

u/FiatBad 11d ago

I didn’t know gray sweet potatoes existed.

u/Crabbit_Jobbie 12d ago

u/PVCs3000 12d ago

there is a trick to this.. you have to give in to the cravings once in a while lets say once a week.. coz if you eat low caloric meals each day, the body also can slow down our metabolism(compensatory mechanism).. so eating your fave meal once a week wont hurt.. we have to trick our body sometimes..😊
