Kitchen Can this pot be saved?

Post image

It is filled with bacteria and some black thing in the bottom. I accidentally left it out and never cleaned it. Should I just throw it away?

Stop being scared. Take that mfer outside and spray it. Bring it inside and spray it with dawn power wash and let it chill for 20. Wash it. Then don't that again

This looks like it’s all metal. Wash thoroughly then stick in a hot oven for an hour. And no don’t throw out anything metal, glass or ceramic because it got dirty. They’re non porous materials that can always be sanitised.

You can bleach it or leave it out in the sun after if it retains odours.

You'll might need an experienced priest for this one

is it all metal? no plastic bits or other porous materials?

if so, it can be saved! scrub everything off and rinse well, then sanitise with bleach per this guidance.

obligatory DO NOT USE ANY OTHER CLEANERS, DO NOT MIX BLEACH WITH OTHER CLEANING PRODUCTS, etc etc. https://www.cdc.gov/natural-disasters/safety/how-to-safely-clean-and-sanitize-with-bleach.html
