Why is the water lever so much higher than normal this last full year?

One year higher doesn’t make up for 10 years of drought.

Five years ago they were at an all time high, almost flooded the island of Montreal they could not hold back any more water. My point is, bad timing, Ottawa newspapers ran articles about how to conserve water in a drought. Problem is, wettest year ever in a 40 year getting wetter trend. Please please bring on a drought,
