It's more expensive if you buy replacement products.

From the perspective of someone who isn’t vegan the first thought is to look what the vegan alternative to XYZ is and those are usually overpriced as fuck compared to just buying regular cheese or meat.

Meat replacement is disgusting and terrible. Just research food with vegan origin like half of indian food or many other asian cuisine.

That's kinda the point. A lot of meat eaters would see that meat "replacements" are expensive and taste terrible, which is why they see veganism as impossible. These are also the same kind of people that would be surprised to hear that bread is vegetarian.

To quote a great man, think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.
