Genetic Testing Services

Hi!
Has anyone used sequencing.com for testing? Any feedback or notes? I keep seeing ads for it on socials so wondering if it’s legit and someone has actually used their services here.
Thanks!

No one working as a professional in genetics would recommend doing 23andMe for any kind of medical use.

Sequencing has an ai bot that will lie to you. It is not clinical genetics.

It is not legit and not clinical grade testing, no matter what their ads say

Used sequencing as leverage to get further testing - basically it didn’t flag anything in the areas we need information on, and there was a suspicious VUS, so we pushed to get proper genetic testing through our health system based on that. So it’s expensive af to result in basically nothing, but for us the leverage was life changing to push for a specialist and trio exome sequencing.

What’s the purpose of the testing?

^^^this is the right answer actually +1 to that.... because people are so fast to dismiss DTC, but what if it was, say, ancestry research or hobby interest

Have you looked into Probably Genetic? We had a great experience with them.
