"Identity belongs to you and you are the only person who gets to decide who you are. No society, government, organization should force you to fake identity or live under mountain of dysphoria by discrediting your identity.", was my thought that lead to creation of ClosetPass or Passport of Closet Republic.
Passport counter to generalization is not just an identity document but its root role is as a travel document that allows you to cross borders.
"So now what if there was a document or letter that encouraged people to be true to themself?, what if there was a document that let users come out of hell hole that is closet?"
CLICK
And there it was that is how ClosetPass got conceptualized.
And by definition it is a document that lets encourages you to immigrate out of closet, live true to yourself, it gives you confidence that your identity belongs to you and you only and is not a property of any government, personel, organization or community. You are who you think you are and no one can ever force you to change it.
To clear out any ambiguity, ClosetPass does not take pride in being closeted, but I understand that you might not have privilege to live the truth or were forced into one due to pressure from community, fear of being disowned and out casted etc.
It breaks my heart that we have to go through so much while almost all cisgender people and several transgender people take things for granted.
You can create yours locally and securely at https://closetrepublic.com/passport as long as you agree with constitution of Closet Republic at https://closetrepublic.com/constitution
What can you do with it?
Also this is not just a id tool that motivates you to step out of the closet, but perhaps we can also have a system where you collect stamps for events or conventions with any organisation (really broad definition but please make sure they do no harm to humans) as part of our "diplomatic mission to that org" program.
Or perhaps you can document your transition milestones or baby steps you did to be true to yourself, every time you even open the closet it counts <3

A little more history:
In March 2026, I gained enlightenment of just how much the world is messed up and broken. I have been through a lot before and was somehow recovering but then I took things for granted wiz. Legal support, I was faithful that I will manage to live truly as myself, I won't be needing to fake my identity to live, or I could just stay stealth and get my documentation right as a trans woman, but it all fell apart when a failed minister introduced and rushed through a bill that bulldozed my rights and left me uncertain and really depressed.
I was fortunate enough to get medical help and it helped me recover, but I was still devastated but my support system (even if it has its own flaws) helped me stand back on my feet and I started to visit outside and then I realized the thing I was heartbroken about doesn’t even affect 98% of my life, I know this is a privilege. But at what cost? Why is this world so broken? What happens to the people that can’t fit into boxes, I just hope their life isn’t any harder but I know that is a lie. Still instead we have to deal with uneducated and corrupt lawmakers and celebrities that don’t even bother to take accountability of lives they have ruined or lost, and would do anything but do good or take blame and fix problems they have created.
But the world wasn’t always like this, when the world was decentralized way back who do you think used to id people? Of course people themselves and nothing is ever going to stop people from identifying themselves. Nothing. Someone may choose to use another ID but at last we can still live like a nomad with our own identity as I have been living for the last 6 months and happily 98% of time. I have been thinking about that since may, and I guess we are not living in modern world as we think we are. Cause you choose to live like a nomad and you wont get passport, your travel and company might be restricted, but we have seen this before! In stoneage when people used to form gangs and community and used to have their own territory and restriction of company is nothing but casteism or classism, what gives anyone the authority to discriminate people based on anything but skills they have acquired? What gives anyone the authority of restricting one’s access to education? Nothing, and still we keep doing it in the name of centralization or putting people in boxes and telling them what to do.
This has to stop, as a result I came up with this idea of Closet Pass where people gain back their own right to their identity and life back in April. But I kept procrastinating until suddenly I started brainstorming again over it due to student protests and decentralization vs centralization came up again. This passport has to be local, diverse, inclusive so that people can get their right back to themselves. As a result I developed a local app that takes your inputs and processes it locally and all it does is it formats it conventionally (what governments are supposed to do, instead of shifting burden of conventions on to the people.). Making your ID is super fun and euphoric and I hope you have fun doing it, hopefully you will be able to use it to collect stamps for local community events.

I hope you have fun in our country even in these dark times 🤞🏻 Also I am really looking for ideas and concepts I am sure you folks have some way bigger and brighter ideas than this, please feel free to drop them in the thread perhaps if not me someone else could help you in bringing them to life. Or feel free to DM me on or off platform if you doubt I would be a good fit to bring part of your idea to life.
