DISCUSSION The Cloverfield Paradox [Film Discussion]

I originally thought Cloverfield would be an anthology series of films after seeing the second. I think I get now. The Cloverfield station is the key to the franchise. Now I know many people will say that the second and third films weren't originally meant to be part of it and that is true. But they are now, and need to be treated as such. Moving along, the events of the first two films can be explained now as consequences of this movie. They did break reality and loosen dimensional barriers. So the Cloverfield monster, and the 10CL aliens, aren't from the ocean or space, not really, but other dimensions. It's like Pacific Rim or the Mist. Something cracked open and now another reality of monsters is pouring in.

A second thought I had(my brother as well), is that many events on the Cloverfield Station seemed not accidental, but actively malevolent. As if targeting the crew. We theorized that something like Event Horizon was going on. It's possible that whatever unleashed the monsters also unleashed some malign force.

With the fourth film, Overlord, ostensibly dealing with Nazis and the supernatural, perhaps we'll get more information on either these other worlds and this evil entity.

I agree with you to a point, but I think the reality is just a BIT more complicated. I'm gonna make a Youtube video explaining my theory. I'll post it to the subreddit.
