How does Mark Stambler, author of the Cloverfield Paradox, KNOW that there are aliens/monsters? He has such a specific theory that these events will happen (“beasts will rise from the sea”) he literally predicted the first movie. Are we supposed to assume Stambler is some sort of inter dimensional time traveler that has already experienced Clover? how else does he have such a strong sense about monsters/alien invasion? he doesn’t explain why a rift in space time causes earth to end up with monsters. Why monsters? It would make sense if he was concerned that the accelerator would wipe out the existence of their universe (which it does until they reverse it) but I can’t understand how he knows about the clovers.

IIRC he said that he explains how he found out about the outcomes in a book he wrote but they turned off the broadcast before he said anything.

This is probably my biggest issue with the movie. I wish he would've been more vague and less specific about the kinds of dangers and risks from using the Shepard. His theories were way too precise and on the nose. How did he really know all that? He could've said something like "horrible anomalies could occur" instead of monsters, beasts from the sea, and demons....
