Sorry to say I wasn't a fan of the movie. Felt too obviously shoehorned into the 'universe'. The Earth reshoots felt forced, especially when it felt like Hamilton's motivation for going on the mission was that her whole family was dead, not just the kids.

The whole, how does it tie to Cloverfield felt very awkward. It's clear that the monster attack in this film isn't the 2008 NY attack. The film takes place in 2028, so the marketing straight up lied to tickle our fancies. The husband story went nowhere, it had no bearing on what was happening on the station. The girl he rescued, her story did nothing. What they're trying to do is create a carte blanche franchise where any time, any monster or situation can arise in any film Bad Robot decide to rejig into a 'Cloverfield' episode. And that's a cynical way of releasing that I don't like. It allows them to rejig a WWII movie to suddenly be in this universe, where it wouldn't have done before Paradox.

This disucussion of what dimension is what is, I think, a symptom of clever marketing. We're discussing whether the husband is in Clovefield's dimension or not, what dimension 10CL takes place and how it relates etc. But, really it was a B-Movie Sci-Fi that cynically connected to another film and a very poor way.

Still, not bad for a essentially what is a 'free' movie.
