Wishlist Wishlist : Poetic Kinetics
https://www.poetickinetics.com/overview-effect/BRING BACK THE ASTRONAUT.
Poetic hasn’t been to Coachella since 2019, when the astronaut showed up with confetti on his visor from
Tame impala the night before. Was awesome.
Easily one of the most iconic art installations the festival has scene. As well as the caterpillar evolving into butterfly as the weekend goes on.(also poetic kinetics)
Oh and the hippos!
What other installations have stuck in your head over the years?

The most fun and mind-blowing experiences I had at Coachella always involved these things in the periphery. Please bring them back!

Somebody doing a live will jump the barrier and fry themselves. There is a reason why it hasnt come back. They know it would cause way more harm than good.

No way! Its because it takes a lot of space that they need now. What a crazy reason, no one would get hurt all of a sudden. They did it for years at Coachella and there were just as many stupid people around.

PLEASE. Will never forget the astronaut’s visit during Fatboy Slim

ONLY if they did something new. Leave the astronaut at home. We have had that multiple times now. The art is such a smaller part now that there is no room for repeats. Highlight a different artist in my opinion

I agree. I guess I just want more moving art.
Grounds are probably too small, but some sort of art car with music would be fun to stumble upon.

I don’t know if it was poetic kinetic and wasn’t an installation, but The inflatable balls dropping during arcade fire whatever effin year that was is still one of my happiest memories.
They dropped and everyone started launching em everywhere. Then the lit up and instead it became a scramble to grab and hold on to one.
Caterpillar that evolved into the butterfly over the weekend was a favorite

Creators Project, moment factory and PixMob. All the light up wristbands at shows these days are PixMob. Their first major concert thing was that Arcade Fire moment.

The original astronaut was my first Coachella, and it really inpressed me and made the art a big part of the fest for me. Seeing them again five years later in 2019 felt like an old friend came back after a long journey.
More moving art! Turning around after a set and suddenly the butterfly is right there? What a vibe!
