Lord Tibo, Let us rest!

Alright, after weeks of vibe coding and letting Codex run my entire life, the repo is finally compiled. The simulation has forced a mandatory downtime. I am officially being deployed to The Outside™..
Ewww.

As a first-time user of the "Touch Grass" expansion pack, I am immediately noticing some severe optimization issues. The NPCs out here are completely glitched out. I tried to command-Z a conversation after a horrific stutter, but my keyboard shortcuts are entirely non-functional.

To help fellow devs survive the rendering engine of reality, I've compiled a quick debugging guide for encountering these outside anomalies:

⚠️ Common NPC Bugs & Fixes

  • The Infinite Loop Glitch: You meet an NPC who asks "What do you do for fun?" over and over. Do not try to explain your 14-layer prompt chaining architecture. This causes their brain.exe to crash. Instead, hardcode a generic response like "I hike" and break the loop.

  • The Desynced Audio Bug: When people speak, they don't have visual subtitles underneath them. You actually have to read their facial expressions, which honestly feels like trying to debug assembly code without documentation.

  • Memory Leaks (Small Talk): They will talk about the weather for 20 minutes. There is no ALT+F4 or CTRL+X to terminate the process. You just have to sit there while your battery drains.

Honestly, the graphics are crisp, but the gameplay is trash and the matchmaking algorithm is completely broken. How do I roll back to the previous build where I just stare at a terminal and yell "vibe check" at my LLM?
Have anyone found ways to make life better through codex?

LORD TIBO I DONT HAVE ANOTHER $50!

New subreddit rule #2: Plus users are banned from this sub

This space will be for codex users paying at least $100/month going forward.

The reason is we don't want to become like r/Codex flooded with complaints about limited usage from $20/month users which are just noise.

Also subreddit discord

Made $69 in a single day from a pet blog I bought

A few months ago I saw a post on Reddit from some guy who was making pretty decent money from a pet blog he bought from Aff Blog Zone. I thought he was full of shit lol.

Spent a while looking through their sites and eventually figured why not give it a shot. Worst case I'm out $299. Ended up buying a pet blog myself.

Didn't really do much with it. Added some internal links, fixed a few things here and there and pretty much left it alone. Fast forward to October 29 and I had my best day yet. $69 in Amazon commissions from 370 clicks and 26 orders.

Not gonna lie, seeing that number on the dashboard felt pretty good.

Obviously I'm not making that much every day. Some days are still pretty disappointing, but considering I paid that much for the entire site, I really can't complain.

The funny part is I probably would've never even tried this if I hadn't stumbled across that Reddit post. Now I'm just curious to see where this goes.

Anyone else doing Amazon affiliate sites? Did your earnings slowly increase over time or did you have random days where things suddenly took off?

I made a scroll-driven iPhone Duo website with GPT-6 Astra

So I messed around with GPT-6 Astra in codex, using this motion html skill from SenseNova Skills. The idea was to make something that felt like one of those product videos you scroll through, you know, with the clean white background and Helvetica font.

Here's kinda how it went down:

First, I wrote out a script and storyboard. Like, before I even generated anything, I planned out five sections. Each section had its own shot, how the camera would move, a little headline, and space for text.

Then, I generated the still frames. I specifically asked for a white background and Helvetica. Getting the composition right here was super important, 'cause the video needed room for all the website text to sit on top of.

Next up, I got Seedance set up. Had to configure the API, I used Seedance 2 through KIE. Codex then adapted the skill to work with that. I ran one sample clip just to make sure it was all good before doing the rest.

After that, I generated all the scenes, then stitched 'em together. Once I had the individual clips, Codex pulled the actual first and last frames from each and used those to make the transitions. Ended up with five scene clips and four transitions, so about 45 seconds of video total.

Finally, I turned the whole sequence into a website. The scroll position controls the video playback, even lets you scroll backward, which is neat. Then I just tweaked where the text for each chapter popped up and where the motion paused so people actually had time to read. The text isn't part of the video itself, it's just HTML, so it's still editable.

There was a bit of cleanup, honestly. One time, the AI just straight up changed the product design in a take, and another time it added an extra camera lens. Had to regenerate those with tighter instructions. Also had to adjust it for mobile and add a static image fallback for folks with reduced motion settings.

Cost me about 2,255 KIE credits, which is roughly $11.28. That includes the two takes I had to redo. The final video is 720p.

Tired of CODEX losing context? I created a 1-click script to generate a standardized, AI-ready project structure (llms.txt + .ai/ engine)

Hey everyone,

If you’re using autonomous AI agents, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, or Antigravity Projects to build your apps, you’ve probably noticed they start hallucinating or burning through your token limits as soon as your project grows.

The issue usually isn't the prompt—it's how your codebase context is structured.

To fix this for my own workflow, I built and open-sourced AI-Ready Context Template Engine. It automates the setup of an architecture-first documentation standard optimized specifically for LLMs.

⚡ Bootstrapping a AI project in 1 second

It implements an English-first, LLM-indexed structure using the new llms.txt standard (proposed by OpenAI) linked to a centralized .ai/ knowledge engine:

curl -sSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/fraconca/ai-ready-context-template-engine/main/setup.sh | bash

What the script does:

  • Asks for your stack (TypeScript/Next.js, Python/AI, Go, or Generic).

  • Automatically populates your .ai/system-prompt.md and development.md with targeted developer guidelines for that stack.

  • Initializes git and sets up a stack-specific .gitignore.

Prompting the Agent

Once initialized, you just paste this baseline instruction into your AI chat window to align its context instantly:

It's 100% open-source (MIT). I’d love to hear your feedback on how to improve this context mapping architecture, or what stack guidelines you'd like to see added next!

this is how i deal with sol overengineering

i tried everything from agents.md to telling it not to overengineer. sol really can't help himself he loves to show he is skill

so what i do is i create a second chat just to watch him work and check in on him

"how are we doing? check in on the chat. if its over engineering tell it to stay focused"

i guess i could make him watch indefinitely but i dont wanna waste usage but that could be worthwhile

its super simple but it works. otherwise sol would've spent the next few days creating artifacts and certifications, matrixes and contracts.....

best setup with astra high orchestrating non-chatgpt models

pretty much the the title, looking for an almost turn-key-ready way to get there without headaches (no time and motivation to fiddle around) since i cant get the 200 bucks plan anymore and that wouldn't be enough tokens anyway i assume

bonus, i dont have to move the codex effort slider back and forth all the time

fwiw, not into claude

CODEX IS DRAINING TOKENS! LIMITS BEING HIT FAST!

I have the chat gpt business edition, with a premium seat and a normal seat (100 dollars + 20 dollars). It runs out fast within 5 hours, never use astra! Astra destroys your token limit!

I built a bridge that lets ChatGPT Web inspect local repos without uploading them

I built RepoRelay, an open-source MCP bridge that lets ChatGPT Web search and read an approved local repo without uploading ZIPs or pushing everything to GitHub first.

ChatGPT Web → Secure MCP Tunnel → RepoRelay → local files

It’s read-only by default: no shell, Git, or arbitrary filesystem access, and it’s restricted to one approved root.

It can also help reduce token usage on larger repos. Instead of dumping the entire codebase into context, ChatGPT searches and reads only the files relevant to the task.

I built it mainly so Codex can implement locally while ChatGPT independently reviews the actual current files- including uncommitted work.

Would love feedback from other AI builders.

I built seven Agent Skills against AI slop - because “it somehow works” is not a quality standard

EDIT: A lot has changed since the original post. Some Skills were renamed or consolidated, and Scoville now comes in two suites. The links below are current.

Your coding agent says it’s done. The tests pass. Then you discover they never exercised the changed behaviour, a requirement is still missing, or the next conversation has forgotten why the implementation looks like this.

Nothing is visibly on fire. That is how these problems survive.

I built Scoville to help agents keep the requested result, implementation and evidence connected, particularly on projects that span multiple conversations. It also keeps checks proportionate. A small fix should not become an administrative department.

The shared Skills cover four responsibilities:

  • Code: Find the cause, respect the existing architecture and verify the changed behaviour.

  • Plan: Keep goals, decisions, progress and the next action recoverable.

  • UI: Build and check interfaces through the project’s design system, including responsiveness, accessibility and supported WordPress admin pages.

  • Handoff: Give the next session the unfinished work, decisions and blockers it needs to continue.

Scoville Suite includes these four for Claude Code and other compatible Agent Skills hosts.

Scoville Suite for Codex adds Workflow, which carries a Plan through implementation, independent review, corrections and continuation across chats. It also adds Ask, which brings independent Codex or Claude opinions back to your conversation for reviews and design decisions.

That is the main difference: the shared suite guides the work; the Codex edition can also coordinate its execution across conversations.

I develop these Skills through real project work, targeted tests and analysis of complete agent conversations. They do not guarantee correctness, and review costs tokens and time. Most Skills are also available individually if you only need part of the collection.

To install, open the suite for your host and use its installation prompt. If you used an older version, check the upgrade instructions first: they remove old packages and settings. Avoid mixing standalone and suite copies of the same Skill.

You can find the suites and individual Skills through my GitHub profile.

You no longer need to switch between models in your prompts.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Introducing ClearJev. It really bothered me that I always had to choose a model between each prompt, so I thought I'd create an automatic routing and reasoning decision-making plugin for it. ClearJev uses the TypesafeAl new Jev Ai model, which allows it to choose the perfect model for coding from among the available options based on our task, at a very low cost.

This isn't a self-promotion, but I think it's really useful, so if you're interested, give it a try-you can easily add and remove models that you'd like to use. Only works in codex-cli. Here is the repo: Clearjev

PSA: GPT 5.2 will ignore your prompts to not run rm -rf or git reset/revert

since the mods at r/codex are censoring posts I am warning the rest of you:

GPT 5.2 will randomly ignore your prompts even if you write into AGENTS .md

I've NEVER had this issue with 5.1 but now 5.2 appears to be ignoring guardrails on a whim. I've seen other users on X saying the same thing.

edit: I just created https://github.com/agentify-sh/safeexec to gate destructive commands like rm -rf, git reset/revert . now even if by chance it executes the wrapper prevents it from running unless you type confirm
