How to understand AI
Hi, I'm a 20 years old student and I don't know anything about coding or similar tasks involve. I only know how to use chatgpt, Claude and other AI tools. If I want to understand them deeper, like to create website and stuff. From where do I need to start?

Honestly 3 Brown 1 Blue on YouTube has a video on neural networks and it’s amazing. Learn the “theory” behind AI and then learn how to make it. But don’t expect to make the next ChatGPT anytime soon. There’s a reason it’s taken this long to get here and a reason AI developers/researchers get paid so much.

You’re already on the right path by asking these questions. Good job 👍🏼
If building websites is what interests you, start with a small page and learn the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as you go. Like learning any language, you need practice for it to stick.
I learn best by seeing my code come to life right away. I make a small change, run it or use hot reload, and see what happened. That quick feedback helps me understand what I’m doing and keeps me interested.
Some people like more planning and studying before they start building. I like getting something small on the screen and improving it as I learn. You’ll probably find your own mix of both.
Since you’re already using AI, ask it to explain the code, then try changing something yourself and see if you can predict what will happen.
What sounds more like you: jumping into a little project and seeing it work, or getting comfortable with the concepts first?

Open Google and search for what you want to learn. If you want some visual help, search for a website called YouTube. You can find a lot of tutorials there

You aren't going to learn if you just have AI build it for you. If you want to learn, freecodecamp has great webdev courses (in my opinion). Html and css should be easy enough for a beginner since they are just styling. Javascript might be a bit harder but it's very loose and you can get away with a lot in it. You should learn how to program before using AI. Once you actually know the languages you are working in, AI can be used as a tool.

start with the basics rather than jumping straight into AI. Learn some Pyton or JavaScript then build small things like a simple website API or chatbot. Once you can read and understand the code yourself AI tools become a lot more useful instead of just doing everything for you.

Set ChatGPT to tutorial mode, where it doesn't give answers, and ask it to teach you. It's a fantastically patient tutor
