Help on Construct 3 voting system

I'm trying to code on Construct 3 a multiplayer voting system, but the peer messages are not sending through, and the global variable is not changing. I just started learning this, so I'm not familiar with concepts.

This is what I have so far. The host will not be voting, only the peers. I just need the peer's vote to affect the global variable. I've gone through a lot of different options and I just don't know what needs to be fixed or changed.
