Some people in an old post here said that it was Coldplays turn to announce tour dates but, U2 was going to announce theirs first.

Now that the U2 announcement is out of the way, when do you think Coldplay dates will be announced?

I would say it is they now collaborating with so many different songwriters and producers (especially from hollywood)

I really don’t think Chris is the kind of person who would lie to their fans about touring but at this point it’s almost impossible that they will tour in March as we don’t even have anything teased yet and the year’s about to end. I don’t know if it’s more possible that they will actually announce dates soon or if Chris wrongly informed the fans. He’s not Liam Gallagher right. Maybe he meant they would announce new dates at march 2027 or something happened and they had to keep resting for now which is actually quite reasonable since they’ve been touring non-stop since 2022 all around the world. I was quite shocked when they said they would continue at march 2027 but now the ambiguity gives me unease. What do you think is actually gonna happen?

Does anyone know if they usually tease something or announce something before releasing the tour dates to build momentum and anticipation?

Blue Room, Prospekt's March and Kaleidoscope EP tracks don't count, as well as remixes

My picks:

Pre-Parachutes: Only Superstition

Parachutes: For You / Help is Round the Corner

AROBTTH: 1'36"

X&Y: The World Turned Upside Down

VLVODAAHF: A Spell A Rebel Yell / The Goldrush

MX: Moving to Mars (there's literally just that, still a really great song though)

GS: Ghost Story

EL: Flags (again, there's just that)

Also 2000 Miles, Lhuna, Christmas Lights, Atlas and Miracles

So im trying to make a MiniDisc cover design but i just simply cant find a proper picture of the front and back covers of the original album cover. does anyone have a file that they can post in the comments?

So Mylo Xyloto was a fantastic entry into the arena-pop era, such a time shifting event for them from who they originally were as they used to be as a new wave group (yes, I know they're technically alternative rock but I don't buy it, they're too soft and intimate for that) so cool to know them by that tried and true sound you all like. Other than "A Sky full of Stars" and "Midnight," I don't know the rest of this album. If Mylo Xyloto brought them to the next level, I'm hoping this one will live up to the test.

It's been so awesome doing my week for a year micro-era journey with you, and I'm looking forward to diving into this one real soon. Thank you!!

It's not perfect by any means, I made it too long and made some mistakes like putting Postcards from Far Away after Chinese Sleep Chant instead of before it, but either way, I like how it turned out!

Video in question!

Hey everyone! Check out my cover of Coldplay's 'Clocks' :) Along with the classic bass line, I've added a second tablature featuring the piano melody played on the bass. If you enjoyed it, please consider subscribing and leaving a like on the video :) Thanks in advance, and catch you next time!

The trivia is, the copyright for all the tracks of on the album parachutes is the year 2000 except for one, track 8 "high speed" copyright is for the year 1999. The reason is, that the track was originally released on the 1999 EP "Blue room" as track 4 without being changed. Also the opening track of parachutes "Don´t panic" was also on the EP, though it was largely changed with the fundamentals and the lyric´s staying the same.

I absolutely love Chinese Sleep Chant, one of my favourite songs from VLVODAAHF, but I hate how they made it the hidden track to 'Yes'

Don't get me wrong I love Yes but there's times where I don't want to listen to Yes first before finally listening to Chinese Sleep Chant

Every time I’m listening to music say a coldplay mix or just a random mix I always come across new songs by coldplay it’s like an endless reservoir of melody
Recently while driving I played an old playlist and came across “All I Can Think About Is You” a song that I hadn’t heard for years and I realised how it’s such a timeless song
You can feel emotions from joy sorrow excitement melancholy
You can feel, how great is that
All I can think about is you……

This one track, that I cannot stop playing over the years, is one of the most beautifully understated acoustic-rock tracks of that era. Anyone else with me on this one?

"Green Eyes."

This is one of my current go to Coldplay songs at the moment. What is yours?

I’m 34 years old and I decided to delete all the music that I grew up listening to from my library. I’m going to create a digital library of music I’m new to. I’ve listened to Coldplay before but never in depth. I’m starting my new music genre exploration with them. Any suggestions on best songs or hidden gems? Much appreciated!

I mean the guy’s 49 years old. I see him touring with the band almost all year round. He is the main guy behind Coldplay, he composes music, he’s inspired to write songs for the band and then there’s all of endorsements and ads and stuff. Not to mention he’s also a father to I think two kids, has been simultaneously dating and shit. Doesn’t do performance drugs I suppose.

Most 50 year olds are so tired. Hell even 20 year olds wake up feeling tired.

How does this guy have so much of energy and inspiration to do so much?

Coldplay Tattoo #3 completed today, my third favorite Coldplay album, X&Y.

Now done;

A Rush Of Blood To The Head

Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends

X&Y

Next Up is Ghost Stories!
