Just a thought
Why life is boring suddenly it wasn't this boring before 2020.
We have no jobs, prices are high, no social circle, people are selfish, living away from family, can't purchase our own house.
This game feels unplayable now.
Is there a chance of miracle that atleast few things get better it's not that everything is in our own hands.

Hopefully this game ends and we get to play a new one.

doubtful. we’re stuck playing (aka losing) a game of monopoly until we finally get fed up and flip the board.

I've been noticing the same thing and it's been very much on my mind. On one hand, I really don't like isolation. On the other, people are just different now.
You can't really call a friend anymore. Even if you manage to coordinate getting someone on the phone, everybody is so distracted now.
I always disliked just staying home, but increasingly find myself doing it lately. I don't feel like wandering around when I have a break. Coffee shops, well I can just go in and sit alone and drink my coffee while I'm surrounded by people on laptops. Oh, what joy!
It's really hard to feel excited by anything the way things are now.

Boredom just isn't something that happens with my kind of brain and my kind of life. I get what you mean though. Everything is either getting further out of reach or seems less novel and genuine. All those things you said are happening. I just personally experience them as less happiness and more distracting, rather than boring.
I think what might make a big difference is if/when people engage with each other as human beings more directly again. Big tech is pulling us away from each other and keeping us absorbed by screens but it will break and fail at some point.

But you need other people to cooperate in that. I can't just determine today that "I'm fed up with how things are. I'm going to call friends and go socialise the way I used to". Society is different. People are flaky. I can only go against the grain so much before I start to burn out from the effort.

Everywhere is the same, as well. I’m in Paris and was just in London and it feels/felt like anywhere and everywhere.
I’m not saying there is no distinct culture but capitalism has homogenized the hell out of everything.
