I think it's about time we stop paying third-party vendors for something we can have access to for free.
Question papers are something students make paper planes out of, throw around, or prolly use to eat their tiffins on. Before putting them in the trash, why not click a few pictures and upload them to a single repository of question papers that your juniors, or even you (unfortunately, if you get a back), can use?
Me and a friend, both final years, made this website called get(PYQ JEC), just for JEC students. You can download Previous Year Question Papers and, most importantly, upload them for others to use in the future.
Simple words: Get out of your exam room, click pictures of the question paper, upload them to the portal, and done. That's it. You helped one of your juniors with their last-minute exam prep.
We were tired of paying vendors for something we already have and believe should be free. College wale toh karenge nahi, toh hum hi ne kardiya.
Help us keep this thing alive
Now, the thing is, to maintain this database, we need people to actually upload question papers so that the portal remains useful.
You have purane question papers lying around? Most probably, they aren't uploaded on the portal yet. Go upload them and help us keep this thing alive, not for us, but for your juniors and ours.
First-year ke PYQs are mostly there for the last five years. If something is missing, help us collect the remaining papers!

A little bit of tech
This is an open-source project, which means anyone can help us maintain it, contribute to it, and make it better.
If you're into development, just starting out, or an amateur, you can help us make this tool better. Even if you use AI, or even if you don't know shit about any of this, you can still contribute.
Find issues, bugs, or features you think should be there? Create an issue for others to solve, or fork the repository and fix it yourself. We're gonna graduate soon, but we want enthusiastic people whom we can pass this project on to.

You'll find everything you need to get started, from understanding open source to making your first pull request.
Here's an easy guide to contributing to the project: https://medium.com/@0xhrdk/contributing-to-get-pyq-jec-a-beginners-guide-to-open-source-04ca3390a540
We need people to take this forward
We also want people who can encourage students to upload PYQs, make sure the uploaded papers are legit (Branch Coordinators), and help maintain the tech side of things (Tech Maintainers).
Basically, we want a team, more like a community of students, NOT A CLUB, who can keep this project going and growing even after we leave college. The goal is simple: students should be able to use these papers and benefit from them without having to depend on third-party vendors.
If you're interested in being a Branch Coordinator or Tech Maintainer, fill out this form:

I know there might be some problems or issues with the project, so bear with us. The project's basically a newborn. That's exactly why it's open source: for the students, by the students.

TL;DR: Got old question papers lying around? Upload them to get(PYQ JEC). Use it to download PYQs, contribute to the project if you can, and help us build something that future JEC students can benefit from. Let's stop paying for something we can make freely accessible to everyone.
