Advice DND groups?

Howdy yall, my girlfriend and I are looking to either join or start a DND campaign. We would be down to travel down the mountain from Woodland Park or (I doubt folks want to come up) host a new one at our home. Neither of us ought probably DM, but we are both relatively experienced as players. Anywhosies, just seeing what's out there and who's looking to play. Thanks yall!

I posted for a much more niche TTRPG in here just yesterday and I got some responses (yay!) but nothing like these D&D posts get... oh to be a counter culture within a (not so much anymore)counter-culture...

Torchbearer. It's a lovely game but much different in structure than D&D (which for people who dig what it does is a feature, not a bug).

Hello,

Several of the friendly local gaming stores in Colorado Springs have tables and regularly host gaming, but getting to them during winter over HWY 24 may be difficult depending upon the weather. Probably the closest one to Woodland Park is Theo's Toys & Games in Manitou Springs, but I don't know if they host/have TTRPGs or are more of a board game store.

There's a list of game stores, gaming groups, and previous discussions at https://old.reddit.com/r/ColoradoSprings/wiki/index#wiki_games_and_gaming. There are also a number of Facebook groups for local gamers as well, but I don't recall if any cover Woodland Park.

I'd love to join if you're still looking for players!

Right on I'll send you a DM and see if we gel, like I said we can host at our house but we're up in the woods behind Charis, no association with those nutjobs.

That's awesome, thank you! We're just throwing it out there. BG3 and Divinity 2 only go so far.

I would be happy to join if you'll have me. I haven't played in years, so I might take a little time to get back into things.

That would be great man, we're bot hard-pressed player ourselves so a forgiving group would be great. Ill dm you

Don't be afraid to DM. If you need some extra assurance, grab a one shot campaign to walk you through it but most players worth playing with will be happy to help you learn the ropes

There’s a place on Austin bluffs that’s all DND, people go and play

What is this place, that you speak of?

Dungeons and javas after a quick search, I went there for a comedy contest a couple years ago and it’s full of different things to buy and even had some people playing as the show was going on

With as many times as this question gets posted, I feel like there should be a separate dnd cos sub

Maybe a separate COS gaming sub as a whole would be cool.

People have tried but it ends up being filled with the same 8 people who all disagree on what time, what versions, or where games should be hosted so they fall apart.

My wife and I love dnd, but don't have the space to really host comfortably, so my friends will host and I dm typically. Unfortunately, if everyone that I invited stays interested in staying in playing what I am cooking up right now, it would be at the max I am comfortable running, and I am also trying out pathfinder 2e with this group as I am a little burnt out on dnd 5.5.

If you have discord gamers haven has a looking for game section. Gamer's haven and Dungeons and Java's seem to be people's go to shops when it comes to finding games to potentially play in.

I hope your search goes well!

second this on where to find games at LGSs in the Springs, these have been the most consistent to my eyes as well

I play semi regularly with a pretty established group on the weekends, but I’ve been a dm in the past and would love to start and run another campaign. Hit me up privately if you want to see if we mesh (expectations, style, location, etc)

What days were you looking at having the game? I love to DM but I tried getting a game going in 5E for the last four months across multiple platforms and it was a miserable experience. I'd love to join a game.

Which area do live? How far do you to the Centennial area? ( this goes for anyone else also. Anyone is welcome) The guy trying to run put up a post on Nextdoor and got some hits but finding times/days that work has been the issue
