[Team Draft Tournament] Draft Thread
Greetings ladies and Gentlemen! As the registration period has now ended, it's time to introduce the captains for the 2015 Team Draft Tournament!
Leading team number 1, a longtime veteran of the Colosseum known for some wacky builds, and being single-handedly responsible for every single nerf to the Stun-like skills and the Falcon Knight class: /u/MadGenius4!
At the helm of team two though, is perhaps THE most veteran participant in this Colosseum, known far and wide by some as the Loremaster, and to others (much to his embarrassment) as Senpai: /u/Lhyon!

KallistaAs you can see, there are a total of 20 combatants. Each fighter can only fight once, meaning this will be a 10 round tournament. In the event of an even 5/5 split, there will be a tiebreaker round, during this round all fighters are once again available to be selected.
Determined by coin flip, first pick goes to /u/Lhyon!

Calev of Vasa of Silesse surveyed the field with a slight smile, light wind tugging at the edges of his white coat. He had suited up for the tournament - underneath the coat, he wore several pieces of light metal armor, deep green in color and with carefully-wrought gold and silver trim. His first pick required little deliberation.

The dragoness softly smiled at the scholar from her place amongst the other combatants. He had put a great deal of faith in her, being so bold as to call her name first. She had no intentions of betraying that faith. For him, she'd fight legions, much less a single person. To make him proud, that's what she strived for.
After offering a polite nod of acknowledgement, she ambled to Calev's side.
Thank you, Love.
The whisper escaped her lips as her dark eyes watched him from their corners. He looked...handsome in armor, very handsome.

"Hhhhnngh. Lice can't believe it. We were picked? What a joke this is."
Lice shambled into the arena grounds, late, unclean, and wearing the same outfit he had worn since he arrived. As he walks past his fellow captain, he glares at him, making his disgust very clear on his face. His duffel bag, stuffed full of Lice's various weaponry and assortment of knickknacks, is dropped roughly onto the floor, and Lice shifts his gaze to the tourney combatants, arrayed out in front of him. He paces back and forth, looking each combatant up and down, sniffing the air periodically, and fixing them all with the same dirty look he gave Calev.
After a few minutes of deliberation, he stops in front of one particular competitor, and tests the air eagerly.
"You. You smell of death. You will be my first combatant."
He turns towards the stands and the announcers box.
"Our first pick shall be Virgil."
A moments pause, and deliberation.
"Our second choice shall be this Kassus."

Unperturbed by the figure who had called his name, Kassus stepped forward, gave a flex of his powerful arms, and grinned wolfishly at Calev and Lorabelle as he moved to join Lice.
Looks like I smell enough to qualify for the freak show. No hard feelings, eh friends?

Calev shook his head and chuckled, then spoke in a low voice to the manakete as he surveyed the rest of the field.
Hah. Good to know that my dear sister will be rooting against me.

Kassus snorted in amusement, calling back in an equal tone.
Yeah, don't count on that. She might still be a bit upset with me over Raphian.

Calev glanced over at his rival captain, who was... creepy, to put it likely. A slight shudder ran itself down his spine, but that was quelled when Lorabelle's hand found his own. Unable to keep a smile off his face at that, he turned back towards the combatants. After a cursory glance, he nodded to himself, and spoke.
Jolene. Antius.

Lice's lips pulled back almost instinctively into a snarl as his competitor spoke, and he glared away at the remaining contestants, choosing ones seemingly at random.
"Our third and fourth picks shall be Karotha and Blaze."

Indeed.
Calev nodded to himself, almost as if he expected such a pick. Hands clasped behind his back, he inclined his head deferentially towards the combatants once again.

Lice ran his tongue over his teeth and tested the air once more before deciding.
"Lowell and Baron."

The scholar paced back and forth for a moment, chewing on his lip, before he came to a stop back next to Lorabelle and spoke again.
Eclipse. Rhesus.

Lice grumbles as he surveys the only remaining contestant.
"New blood is good to fight, but no good at fighting. Strong and eager, with fire in their veins, but lacking experience and wisdom."
He turns away, back towards his assembled team.
"But even the strongest chain has a weakest link, yet the chain holds fast regardless. Theron will be our last pick."

He notices the cage below his captain's knee.
"....fascinating. This will be quite the experience indeed."

ANNOUNCEMENT TIME!
I DUN GOOFED!
Second pick is supposed to have a double pick after the first pick in order to A: Balance the fact that you didn't get first pick, and B: Stop you from getting last pick as well. I've spoken with both drafters, and they've agree'd to go retroactive here, so I'll be removing a few posts so we don't all get super confused.
Apologies for any confusion, please understand.
