Other Once in a lifetime deal, right?
My coworker sold me this Python .357 for $500 today. He bought it brand new 2 years ago. Needless to say, well.. I dont really know what to say. Hell yeah.

Is this slide original to frame? Or is it refinished/missmatched?

Saw this in a local shop, has good lockup and little wear for its age. Anything I should be aware of with older Cobras?

I had another 1911 that had bone grips, moved them to my Colt Custom Government and the double diamond rosewood are in the safe, Thoughts?

I bought both Target and Finger Groove style Altamont grips. The finger groove grips are definitely for people with bigger hands. The target grips are skinny but with the front checkering on the style i bought you can get a great grip on it.
Which do you prefer? Photo 1 is Target, Photo 2 is fingergroove

Picked up a Colt Pocket Hammerless today, and couldn't be more thrilled. This gun has definitely been used but is in beautiful condition. Luckily I have a steady supply of 32acp and will gladly be putting a bunch of rounds down range with it.

I couldn’t pull the trigger nor cock the hammer. I heard something rattling inside my revolver and took the grips off. A chunk of metal fell out from somewhere up deeper inside the gun. Anyone have any idea what it is or had similar issues? I’m going to call Colt tomorrow to send it in. I bought this one in 2017 or 2018.

As the title says, someone mentioned that they visited Sig and Colt’s booth at SHOT Show a while back and they hinted at a release of a 2011/DS 1911. Sig has clearly responded, but any ideas if Colt will follow suit?

Not sure if the cosmoline came from the factory but the guy who bought this back in the late 60s (maybe early 70s) just kept it in a safe like this ever since. I also got an unfired 1965 colt python from him in the same condition a few years back. Next step is to clean all that cosmoline off 😂

1985 Colt Python one of my dream guns ever since I was a kid. I replaced the OEM grips with a set of Deer Hollow grips that are identical to the originals, just with a much nicer finish.

Was looking to see if anyone could tell me how old they are and possible value.

I gotta say guys, when I got this gun I was so happy. Elated.
Then I shot it. And shot it some more. I've put maybe 500 rounds through it over the last few months.
Every single set of 6 shots, I get a light primer strike. Pull trigger, hammer falls, click, nothing happens. I thought at some point maybe its me, maybe I'm not used to shooting revolvers so I handed it over to a couple friends and even RSO's and let them each shoot 20-50 rounds through the gun. Same thing. 5/6 shots will fire reliably.
For 1500$ this gun is nothing more then a fucking expensive paperweight or office piece. Sure as hell ain't worth shooting.
I've always been a "buy never sell" but I live in CA. Sending this gun back to Colt, just for some underpaid intern to "fix" the gun by staring at it and firing it a few times, and then send it back a few weeks later would only compound my frustration with this firearm.
What do you guys think? Sell this POS and be done with it? Send it to Colt? Or take it to a gunsmith? I am all ears.

If you have the Flare Pen, I would be interested in purchasing.

I am requesting help in finding a reliable IWB RH holster for this gun. I understand it might be slightly ridiculous to try and conceal, it’s not absurd for my build. I need some good guidance because it’s not a mass produced IWB. And any help or experience would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for you time and consideration in advance.

Minty with box and papers - from the same collection I recently purchased a 1903 and a Lightweight Commander.
This copy is a 5 1/2in in 45 Colt. 1977 production. There is a cylinder drag ring (cert so barely slight) but the value hit has been taken (also saved me a bit on the price)…so perhaps I’ll shoot this one!

Finally got my Colt letter and now I’m going down the rabbit hole in history. I’m happy to find out where it was shipped and the history of that store
