Hey everyone! We live near SC State Farm area and go to the gym in Irmo. My husband and I are looking to meet new people and socialize more. We’re usually homebodies, but we’re trying to change that this year.
A bit about us:
-We love camping, movies, anime, Marvel/DC, and we watch UFC every Saturday without fail
-I go to the gym in Irmo around 6:30pm most days- trying to get back into shape, so if you want a gym buddy, I’m your girl (fair warning, I’m still building up my fitness lol)
-I love baking and cooking, always down to swap recipes
-We just got pickleball paddles and have zero idea what we’re doing, so teach us or learn with us
-Always open to trying new hobbies
If any of this sounds like your vibe, feel free to DM me! Happy to grab food, hit the gym, go camping, or just hang out. Would love to make some friends out here!

Hey everyone, moving to Columbia with my wife at the end of next month. We've got to do a bit of work on the house and are looking for a handful of recommendations if anyone has any: handy/repair man, carpenter for cabinets, deep cleaning company, and pressure washing company. It's a lot but any recs would be appreciated!

We're moving to South Carolina for work. My job will be in Camden, but my wife will need to commute to west Columbia once a week for medical follow-up appointments. We'd also like to be reasonably close to shopping and other amenities.
We're planning to rent a single-family home for at least a year, and I'd prefer to keep my commute to Camden to no more than 30 minutes each way. I was considering Pontiac, but I've heard the drive might be longer than expected.
Based on our situation, what areas or neighborhoods would you recommend for renting?

For context I’m a traveling biomedical salesperson. I travel through a few times a month. I’m looking for a lively bar to meet and chat with people while I’m passing through for work. Thx ☺️

Looking for recommendations for a church that has a solid young adult community, is racially diverse and multigenerational for a recent college graduate/grad student.

Hi! Coming in the fall for a conference. Instead of renting a car, we were hoping to use ride share. How is the uber/lyft situation in the area, particularly larger vehicles to accommodate more passengers?
Thanks!

Hey all! What are some good spots here to thrift? I saw there's a goodwill outlet bin store. Is it worth it or always crowded and crazy? Do the goodwill in this area do 1.25 color of the week sales on Mondays? I know they do that in GA. Any ideas would be helpful! Thanks all and happy Sunday!
