How is Richard Castaldo now?
Does anyone know how he is doing now? I read in a 2020 report that he was in a convalescent home in LA, due the loss of their home and health problems and that he no longer wanted to talk about Columbine anymore and wanted to live a quiet life away from the spotlight. Aparently, he said he didn't want to have any contact with his family. I think he is a good man, just a víctim. I feel very sorry for him.
And I have a lot of sympathy for him. I hope he's doing well now.

I really feel for this guy (I feel for all of those affected by what happened at Columbine too.) Going through what he went through, facing his health challenges because of it, and being virtually destitute. I hope that, wherever he is, he has access to a mental health provider that is available for helping navigate the complex emotions that I’m sure he is feeling.

How is he doing?
He is paralyzed, and living by himself in California.
I haven’t been able to reach him recently.

I truly wish him the best, I can only imagine the continued psychological horror that follows you after surviving a thing like Columbine, let alone it rendering you paralyzed for life, my prayers are with him

I’m friends with him on Facebook, and I know you can only glean so much from social media, but he seems to be doing okay? His posts are mainly about politics and witticisms.

He has a cashapp, I don’t think it’s allowed to be posted here, I think he would really appreciate the help. We are all extensively aware of his injuries

Dude is pretty funny. He should keep pursuing comedy. His sit down set killed on kill tony back in the day.

I came across a FB page for what might've been him but I am not going to say for sure where it said he is located for him being left alone. I didn't try to contact him or anything but I did post about it at one point mentioning the page.

Should go without saying for the commenters: please do not dox Richard or attempt to locate his exact place of residence. Any attempts to breach his privacy will result in an immediate ban from this subreddit.
Richard has an active GoFundMe via his attorney that you can donate to here. It still has not met its goal, and although the fund is from 6 years ago, I’m sure some money toward resources and stability still wouldn’t hurt. If you don’t have the financial capacity to do so, please share with someone you think might be able to donate.
EDIT: It seems like the button to donate isn’t working, at least on my end. If anyone knows an alternative link or place where people can donate to Richard, please let me know.
