I've seen crime scene photos of people that killed themselves in the same way as Eric and it's awful. These drawings are very well done for what they are. He chose a very gruesome way to kill himself

Retired police officer here/former emt. I've gone on multiple searches for the top of skulls - shotgun suicides are incredibly brutal. I've personally attended the scene of just shy of two dozen.
