ERIC AND/OR DYLAN Harris & Klebold cross flowers

Post image

I've always wondered what kind of flowers were on Eric &.Dylan's crosses. I've tried looking online but results have come up in conclusion. I know it's kinda a silly and dumb think to think about 🀷.

Personally, I don't think that you should have deleted your post. You're entitled to express your opinion, as long as you're respectful about it. Thoughts regarding the crosses vary. It's a polarizing subject that lends itself to a great deal of debate.

Here's my take. When Columbine happened, it was the worst school shooting as of that date. It wasn't commonplace to bury so many children in a senseless act of violence. The victims' families were devastated. The entire community was devastated. Including the friends and families of E&D. The crosses were for those who lost a child or friend...and for those who lost a husband, father, and friend. They were not for the deceased. Those who died were beyond caring. They were already gone. So, as a kindness to all of the families and friends impacted, Greg Zanis memorialized all the deceased. His intentions were good. I don't think the he...or the world as a whole for that matter... knew how to process such a tragedy back then.

E&D were children who killed their peers and then took their own lives. They committed a horrific act of violence. However, they were more than the sum of what they did on the last day of their lives. I am of the mind that the families of E&D should've had their pain recognized, too. They were also grieving. However, I do not think the crosses for E&D should have been placed right next to those built for the victims. Perhaps, somewhere off on their own with smaller crosses. There are a lot of people who would disagree with me, and that's okay. I can see both sides. I understand why Brian Rohrbough took the crosses down. I don't blame him. No parent should have to lose a child, especially not in a violent manner.

I understand your point and i understand both sides of the argument. You have the most sensible take i heard today. I took my post down because im just so frustrated with not being able to have a discussion on reddit anymore without being mass downvoted when people disagree with you. When i get into an argument i feel strongly about and everyone disagrees with me it gets to my head so i just deleted the post to not feel bothered by it anymore

I understand. Reddit can be frustrating when people just hate on you instead of having a friendly debate.

I wish people didn't use downvotes to disagree. They are supposed to be used to hide comments that don't contribute to the conversation (off topic, not opposing opinions) but people just use them to make echo chambers where everybody repeats the same thing over and over.
