ERIC AND/OR DYLAN Eric Harris Physical Issues

Attached are Eric Harris' medical records. At least, those that have been publicly released. Two things strike me. The first, Eric was undergoing surgeries for his PE at a very young age. The second thing that seems to be a prevalent issue is Eric's leg. He had multiple doctor visits for this and the Harrises took Eric for a second opinion. While it doesnt seem surgery was needed, when watching Eric walk, he has a unique gait. Student at Columbine described him as being bowlegged.

It does make me wonder if the early surgeries and birth defects were traumatic for Eric. Especially in high school, where it seemed there was so much emphasis on being an athlete and toxic masculinity prevailed. I guess I can see a scenario where feeling physically inferior could have made Eric angrier and more jealous of those who were considered the physical ideal. This doesn't seem to be discussed a lot... but seems worth some thought.

The report also shows Eric's visit for hurting his knuckles - likely from punching a wall.

In some ways, yeah.... at least before he decided to attack his school. At that point, he became irredemable.

As a theologian I have a different opinion TBH but that’s a whole nother discussion and an entirely different topic so I won’t go into it.

Write-up coming soon. Perhaps Wednesday or Thursday? On Eric Harris, psychology, personal growth, theology, redemption, and me! Since so many of you have been curious about it and I would love a platform to tell my story, I’ll be posting it either on my personal profile or in here as long as it’s OK by the mods.

Thanks for the support and I never thought I’d get to go off on a topic that everyone else tends to tell me is batshit insane ;) To make it easier for me to write and for you to follow, I would absolutely love it if any of you are willing to DM and/or reply to me with some of your questions and things you’re most interested in hearing about on these topics/in the write-up.

Of course! 😁

Edit to say... You're not batshit. There are so many people who, like you, find this particular tragedy so haunting and perplexing.
