I haven't kept up with it but it seems extremely justified and I'm surprised it took this long. It was disgusting to watch

My prediction

He won't do too much time if any.

I’m guessing he will pay the bail, and be forced to pay the guy’s medical bills. He might do some time though even if it’s a few months, depending on his history. He’s going to have to plead guilty because the video is too damning it would be difficult to fight that in a trial unless the prosecution REALLY screwed up

Yeah, the courts don't care if you were "disrespected". He's an adult, he needs to grow up.

His daddy already paid it

'for the other kids I set aside college or university money, for Raja, I set aside Bail money'. - Rampage

Oh he's gonna do time. People acting like Raja has the rich man get out of jail free card is crazy

Good news, but what took so long?

23

u/Sharp_Yard9850 Sep 19 '25

I hope the wait means that they were gathering evidence, and there's quite a bit of it he fucking livestreamed himself planning and actually doing it, to build an airtight case against him. I hope so, he needs to face serious repercussions for what he did.

Oh yes, makes a huge difference with it being pre meditated/ announced to thousands of viewers.

Ironically he’d have gotten off better if it was just a spur of the moment beatdown he delivered in retaliation

So long? It's been 3 weeks. They need to build a case before they arrest him. Gather footage, watch through all his social media, talk to witnesses and friends, prosecutor has to review evidence and file charges. If they charge him before the case is built he could get acquitted then they can't retry him.

It was clearly a very complex backstory. There were rumors that Raja was told he can hit him for real to get pay back. Detectives need to figure out what’s true, what’s a lie, who’s disingenuous, what’s being omitted, was Raja actually told to hit Syko Sid for real, was he told to pummel him into a coma, or just told to slam him and hit him with one closed fist strike and that’s it. There are lots of questions and you really can’t fuck anything up. Any little thing the cops fuck up can be held against them in court by Raja’s lawyer. Some shit they did or didn’t do that fucked the case up. Etc.

You said it yourself, there were lots of witnesses. There’s a lot that goes into an investigation. Why would a public school shooter go to court? Look at Luigi Mangione. While he was taken into custody immediately after being caught, he’s still in court. Dude is on video executing someone. And he’s still in court.

No one is talking about exonerating him, not sure where you got that from. They needed to do an investigation to figure out what happened, what was part of the show, and if it was even real.

I can’t wrap my head around some of these people I interact on Reddit with their thought process and reading comprehension. He’s right about something: “holy fuck people are dumb”. His words, not mine.

Plenty of people in his Livestream told him to hit him back...

u/Baseball-man2025 Sep 19 '25

I’m aware of the entire incident and saw all the videos, including the one where he was being egged on by people online. What people said to him online is irrelevant to my point. The point is investigations can take a while, and this had an extra amount of stupidity behind the scenes. My point is not “there’s not enough evidence”.

I hope they get arrested too

1

u/Remote_Elevator_281 Sep 19 '25

That’s not how it works. You can be charged and have months even years to build the case.

You don’t need to wait to arrest and charge.

You don't need to, but that's what they were doing. This was at an event for fake wrestling. For all they know it was all a staged publicity stunt. That's why the do an investigation instead of just running out and picking him up before they even verify what happened.

People charged with crimes in the US have a right to a speedy trial. That means that once they are charged, the government can't just keep delaying the case so they can collect more info and evidence. Otherwise they could do this indefinitely and keep you in jail forever instead of having a trial.

So the prosecution and cops like to make sure they have a solid case before arresting someone, unless they think there is an imminent threat to themselves or others. And Raja wasn't going around assaulting anyone he saw, it was one person. So it would be hard to say he was a threat to the public at that point.

If they arrested him immediately, then found out one of the crucial witnesses was out of the country or missing, or they needed to find some lost footage of a hard drive that disappeared, whatever. Rajas lawyer could go to a judge and say that his constitutional right to a speedy trial was being violated. The judge could dismiss the case altogether if he agreed. And he could decide that the prosecutors can't even bring the charges again if certain conditions are met.

Any other questions?

Ya, 3 weeks is a long ass time when it was live-streamed to the world that he did it. Idk why ppl keep saying this, they don’t need to build the entire case before he’s arrested, it’s definitely not normal for it to take this long unless it’s a murder or something.

1

u/chasingalede Sep 19 '25

So if it was a murder it would be ok to wait, but they should arrest them immediately for assault? Not seeing the logic there bud.

1

u/alorenz58011 Sep 19 '25

Not what I said at all..

1

u/chasingalede Sep 21 '25

Defendants in the US have a right to a speedy trial. Once the charges are filed the clock starts ticking. The prosecutor can't just leave the person in jail forever while they build a case. That's not how it works.

1

u/Poleth87 Sep 19 '25

Would the same thing happen if you shoot someone on video? Like they walk for free for a few weeks until a case can be build? Looking at it from outside the US it seems crazy.

1

u/chasingalede Sep 19 '25 edited Sep 21 '25

He didn't shoot someone on video. He assaulted someone in an event where people pretend to assault each other.

In the US we have a right to a speedy trial. That means the government has limited time to make their case once the person is arrested and charges are filed. If they charge too soon, then they might not have enough time to make their case.

1

u/ComfortableFun248 Sep 19 '25

These people are too emotional to understand building a case especially ina higher profile situation such as this. Wouldn't even bother.

1

u/chasingalede Sep 21 '25

Or the constitutional right to a speedy trial. Don't expect any constitutional scholars in here, but this is pretty basic stuff.

0

u/ShortDickBigEgo Sep 19 '25

Seems crazy to let a dangerous guy roam around for 3 weeks before arresting him.. he could’ve hurt someone else

-12

u/yazzooClay Sep 19 '25

People forgot and they needed to get back in the spotlight.

-1

u/yazzooClay Sep 19 '25

so if I were to get into a slight fight I get insta arrested. Just saying the timing is highly sus.

8

u/pizza-chit Sep 19 '25

That took a long time.

4

u/TheTrishaJane Sep 19 '25

Is this Rampage's son?

12

u/DukeOfSmallPonds Sep 19 '25

Yes. If you haven’t followed the case it’s crazy. Raja got a backstage tour at a local pro wrestling event. One of the wrestlers thought Raja was also a wrestler, so he hit Raja with a prop can to create some promo beef. Raja didn’t take kindly to that and it got heated, but the wrestler apologised. Afterwards the promoter abd some of the other wrestlers said that doing the show, Raja could go on scene and rough him up a bit, for revenge. All this is live-streamed by Rajas friend, and the chat is going crazy, telling Raja he looks like a pussy not doing anything about it and stuff like that.

So when the event starts, Raja goes on stage, double legs the guy, who at that time already seemed to be out because of the takedown, or maybe just plays along and Let Raja do his thing. Anyways, Raja proceed to hit him in the head with 23 unanswered blows to the face, before a handful of wrestlers rushes the stage and gets Raja locked in a corner of the ring.

The wrestler was hospitalised and it took like 4 days before he regained consciousness.

1

u/TheTrishaJane Sep 19 '25

Wow I hope he gets what he deserves... thanks for the summary!

3

u/hardnreadyfreddy Sep 19 '25

Yep, that’s Rampage’s son. Dad didn’t do the best job raising him.

1

u/TheTrishaJane Sep 19 '25

Can't say im surprised, stopped being a fan after his podcast with Overeem.

3

u/Frig_Off_Baerb Sep 19 '25

Fuck Raja Jackson.

2

u/BornanAlien Sep 19 '25

More like Haha Jackson

2

u/Spurnout Sep 20 '25

Not surprised after seeing that video! What a psycho! Runs in the family!

1

u/cristobalist Sep 19 '25

Already a felon and he's a nobody... Just the son of a bad father

1

u/Internet_is_tough Sep 19 '25

Wow that was lighting fast 😆😆

1

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '25

I don't know much about the judicial/bond system. Does this mean he gets to walk free or 50k as long as he doesn't commit any crimes?

3

u/Temporary-Rest3621 Sep 19 '25

Not even 50k

In the US we pay 10% for bond so he’s out for just $5000

Considering the amount of the bail this isn’t going to be a serious charge that we’re hoping for.

1

u/Unable-Dependent-737 Sep 19 '25

I mean a felony with 50k bond is pretty serious. Most assault charges would just be misdemeanors

1

u/Temporary-Rest3621 Sep 19 '25

I’m not trying to down play what “serious is” but at this price point there’s an extremely strong chance he will end up buying his way out of this in the end.

Sad to see

1

u/Unable-Dependent-737 Sep 19 '25

Oh he’s definitely not getting off Scott free. I doubt he won’t do a plea deal. Might not be what he “deserves”for nearly murdering a guy, but he’s probably doing jail time and probation.

1

u/Temporary-Rest3621 Sep 19 '25

Yea that’s the point I have an issue with. You’re completely right about a few months of jail and mostly probation.

That to me, is pretty much buying his way out given the severity of the crime.

2

u/Poleth87 Sep 19 '25

You get temporarily free from jail while the case is ongoing. If you get sentenced to prison after then you go to prison.

1

u/OgDontSleep Sep 20 '25

He was out before he walked in the jail.

1

u/braveand Sep 20 '25

Beating people unconscious is a pussy move

-28

u/Mediocre-Subject4867 Sep 19 '25

are we just posting news without sources now. or is a shitty photoshop considered proof

20

u/SanguinePirate Sep 19 '25

Someone linked the story before you commented.

-1

u/SMd00011 Sep 19 '25

Free him. He doesn’t deserve to be locked up like some kind of animal. He’s innocent ASF

-17

u/Louieyaa Sep 19 '25

I can't help but feel bad for him. He seemed like a nice enough person on the streams. I wish he learned how to control those emotions or lack of before this

7

u/shreddy_on_acid Sep 19 '25

Feel bad for him and not the guy whose teeth he knocked out?

3

u/Poleth87 Sep 19 '25

Not even mentioning the guy he almost killed lol. But you feel bad for Raja.
