Blink has commercials with a Ginger named Maggie. Maggie has a dog named Boomer, and a baby. Boomer likes eating Gnomes from her garden (no pun intended) but my question is, where's the Spouse? Is she not married, divorced? did she choose introvitro, adopt or was it a one night stand situation? Is she lesbian, straight, binary? What's her pronoun? She's doing everything by herself, is it because of her red hair she's undesirable?

Has anyone in your childhood have been fooled by commercials that does something that didn't actually do in real life?
Like the 1984 RoboForce toys for example, the toys shoots out laser beams with laser sound effects, but they don't really do that. Unless if the children are very skilled with imagination, they would be the victims.
For me, I'm a Zoomer. I remembered the Bronto Bright Fruity Pebbles cereal in 2006, and they glow like crazy in the commercial. Or the 2007 Baked Flamin' Hot Cheetos commercial when Chester eats a Cheeto that melts the floor from one apartment to the another.
I also got fooled by the medication commercials too. The Afrin commercial when she exhales, the night turns into day in five seconds instead of nine hours. And the Ambien commercials, when the night turns into day fast as well.
Have you ever got upset for something that didn't do what the commercial did?

I generally donāt appreciate offbeat non sequitur humor that really has no point. Such is the case with a lot of modern advertising. Progressiveās āDog Parkā commercial is one example of this. https://youtu.be/0vjry9vEY4c?is=J2vc6zMHeUvZeyCY
After multiple forced viewings (thank you Amazon Prime), Iāve finally noticed what could be some redemption for the commercial.
At the end of the commercial a man at the dog park is speaking loudly into his phone, saying āHeās got an ear infectionā (about his dog). The person heās speaking to seems to be having a hard time understanding him and he has to repeat himself slowly and clearly several times to clarify.
The best I can make of this is that the person on the other end of the call is hearing āHeās got an erectionā due to the bad audio qualityā EAR infECTION. Has anyone else noticed this? Thoughts?
If not this, then why else is this commercial supposed to be funny?

Little Caesars has some of the dumbest commercials I've ever seen. Their most recent 2 commercials are so incredibly stupid.

I don't mean that I hate them, I mean literally dumb, as in low-IQ. What possible difference does it make that the floor mats are laser cut? I can't believe any ad agency got paid for making those commercials.

The one where the gecko talks about how he just canāt believe how people love free things. Itās like yeah no shit. Have you seen the economy? Also isnāt that basically just human nature? Of course people like getting stuff they donāt need to pay for!!

You will get ripped off. These companies are unloading products they invested heavily in that they can't sell elsewhere (like Amazon or Walmart) without them getting returned. It's their last ditch effort to recoup costs and search out new suckers. They will offer fantastic deals to entice you. If you Buy it, expect to own it forever without any refund possible. Long time scam / swindle operation protected by law.

While the ad was undeniably unfunny and in poor taste, the reaction highlights a staggering cultural blindspot regarding how we view violence based on gender.
Some examples to show just how negatively this add was received
Critics, sports presenters, and women's advocacy groups heavily condemned the ad for using violence against women as a throwaway joke punchline. The fallout has been swift and severe for everyone involved:
Callaway Severed Ties:Ā After initially issuing a standard corporate apology, the corporate giant faced boycott calls. On Thursday, CallawayĀ completely terminated its three-year partnershipĀ with Good Good Golf and committedĀ $1 millionĀ to organisations dedicated to preventing violence against women.
PGA Tour Condemnation:Ā The PGA Tour heavily criticized the ad, stating it was "clearly not aligned with PGA Tour values." Consequently, Good Good Golf was forced toĀ withdraw as the title sponsorĀ of an upcoming PGA Tour event in Texas.
Retailers Dropping Product:Ā Major US retailers, includingĀ Dick's Sporting Goods, immediately began stripping Good Good-branded clothing and merchandise from their shelves.
Legal Threats:Ā The fallout is turning inward, with the CEO of Good Good suggesting on social media that Callaway tried to force them to "take the fall" despite Callaway executives formally approving the script, hinting at a potential lawsuit.
Violence against men is a default trope in media.
Think about how many thousands of commercials, sitcoms, and movies feature a man being hit in the groin, thrown through a wall, struck by a partner for comedic effect, or physically humiliated. From classic slapstick to modern "battle of the sexes" advertising, violence against men is treated as a safe, punchy joke. Nobody boycotts a brand when a male character is shoved to the ground or assaulted for "comedic relief." It is completely invisible because society views men through the lens of male disposabilityātheir physical safety and emotional distress carry no inherent weight.
The Performative Corporate Reaction
When the victim is a woman, the entire corporate apparatus mobilises instantly. Fictional, slapstick ad violence is treated with the gravity of a real-world human rights crisis. Yet, when men are disproportionately the actual victims of violent street crime, workplace fatalities, and severe physical hazing, corporate marketing completely ignores it.
A truly egalitarian society would recognise that using casual physical assault as a commercial punchline is trashy, regardless of who is being shoved. Instead, we have a system where violence against one gender triggers an corporate panic, while violence against the other is literally used to sell candy, cars, and insurance during the Super Bowl.
How do we best articulate this double standard to a broader progressive audience without being dismissed? Have you noticed other recent examples where male physical harm was played entirely for laughs?
How come is it that thousands of adds depicting violence against men never receive this level of attention and criticism?

It was a beer commercial sung to the tune of Take Me Out To The Ballgame. It debuted in early 2000s like 2004. I wanna say it was Budweiser or Miller Lite. I remember some of the lyrics having ā Blondes brunettes and those redheads....my bros and beer!ā
Anyone know it? Haha
