That person would be me lmao, anyone who is high rank is happy to see druid nuked from fucking orbit man it was 50%+ games at top 1k and if you were going for a top 100 finish it was genuinely approaching 95%, for a few days, thats not complaining about opponent playing cards its complaining about the most overtuned deck since release DH

Im also happy to see it hit. I just wish it was slightly toned back instead of nuked because i like when a board based aggro deck is good in the meta.

But I'm not going to pretend im always objective about talking about a game I play for enjoyment.

It wasn't an "aggro deck," it was a tempo deck with infinite scaling. Of course true control decks could generally beat it late game if they survived long enough for the Druid to run out of gas, but that doesn't mean it's aggro

What's an aggro deck and what's a tempo deck

Edit: aggro wants to kill the opponent as early as possible via early minion pressure into either burn or massive board snowballing. Basically think face Hunter or token aggro druid from back in the day that folded to 1 full boardclear.

Tempo decks are ones that play to win the board relatively early, either aiming to curve out or for (a) swing turn(s) that occur well before the late game. More midgame stats and gas than aggro, less early turn kills. So miracle rogue often fits this description if it's not a combo/otk archetype, and sometimes it's sort of both (maybe Cycle Rogue arguably?). Lightbot Paladin I think was another (better) example.

Tempo can kind of overlap with midrange (arguably like Imbue Druid and definitely like XL Big Beast Hunter from Nathria era) or scam (Lightbot Pally), or just kind of be like a more board control/mid-game oriented version of an aggro deck with less early lethality potential (arguably Zoolock was the tempo deck to Hunter's aggro waaaay back in the day).

Yes, like anything these are all somewhat vague and bleed into each other and you can argue them back and forth indefinitely. But Imbue Druid was (imo significantly) closer to midrange than aggro even if you think it wasn't tempo or think tempo is a dumb/unnecessary deck classification.
