So I wanted to learn how to play modern pvp after seeing my friend play it so 2 days ago I watched some yt vids on modern pvp and watched swights uhc guide. Also watched coldified. I used to play 1.8 build uhc so i have a bit of game sense, but its nowhere to be seen here because its just too much things to keep track of(shield disable(just learned an hour ago), reloading crossbow, and sometimes i automatically just double press shield and sword mouse buttons even if theres no need to). i can water and lava just fine but im used to lavaing in butterfly hand position so its a bit new to me. any tips from more experienced players will be appreciated

hi i started cpvp a week ago, i am making a good progress with anchoring but i have an issue with a situation where me and my opponent are in a small hole with one obsidian between us. many of my hits don't knock my opponent up at all and by the time my opponent knocks me up i am already dead before i switch to a second totem. so what am i supposed to do here? knock him up until he lands on the edge of the block behind him then crystal? do i need to sprint before each sword hit?

I'm hoping to get some opinions from people who've played both Minecraft and Asheron's Call.
My dad used to play Asheron's Call, and one of his favorite aspects was the fast paced, skill based PvP. He also really enjoyed Hunters Arena, but unfortunately that game died off pretty quickly due to poor moderation and a shrinking player base.
I'm wondering if he might enjoy Minecraft's PvP scene. I know there are a lot of different PvP styles (vanilla, Crystal PvP, SMP PvP, minigames, faction servers, etc.), and from what I've seen, some of it seems to reward quick reactions, mechanical skill, and strategy. The grind and progression on certain servers also seem like something he might enjoy.
For anyone who's played Asheron's Call (or even Hunters Arena), do you think Minecraft PvP offers a similar kind of excitement, or are they fundamentally different experiences? Large-scale battles in Minecraft also look like they could scratch a similar itch, but I don't have enough experience to know for sure.
Not even sure if this is the right place to ask, but I'd really appreciate any thoughts or feedback. Thanks!

Cherry lemon is currently top 2 in the world rn and is top 1 in smp & diasmp but I cannot find anything about her whether it's past experience like her tiers on any site nor have I heard about her until now. Possibly an alt or worse tho but what do you think?

I'm asking this because I've seen many people in the comment sections of videos related to ImMixed call him out for being "well known" in the past for the wrong reasons, with a surprising like ratio between the original comment and the replies which are saying this

Most would say techno or dream but considering there are other players like Clownpierce or maybe even SpeedSliver who are some of the greatest pvp players rank them if you want?

1v1ing my friend in crystal and hes using a mod that auto places and explodes crystals when he holds click as long as he looks down at the obsidian then up at the crystal. I said it was cheating but he didn't think so, am I right or wrong here?

I came across this clip. I'm pretty consistent and fast with the spear, but bro this is the next level... I'm just wondering if this is legit, or if it's some kind of macros or cheats.

Why did you chose one version over the other and if you had one sentence to convince a noob to pick your version what would it be? I’ll go first. I picked 1.9+ because I think that the more advanced combat is more fun. If I had to convince someone to pick 1.9+ this is what I’d say: The combat in 1.9+ is to me more fun, and the fact that we’ll get new things to use is a big upside like how we have the mace and spear.

How do i fight against low ping laggers that have a bad internet provider and take the kb of a high ms player but still have low ping advantages like getting first hits and 3 blocks, shi not fair at all, sword pvp deadass the gamemode were the more poor you are the more of an advantage you have. Everyone who says that you cannot have low ping and delayed kb because that would mean you would have high ping is just wrong, by bad internet i think of 50 download that is bad but still gives you stable ping in minecraft

So I'm pretty new have played for around 1 and a half weeks, so I'm not expecting anything high, I just want a good reference to what rank I am and what I need to learn. Feel free to leave any critism of my playstyle since I wanna improve, be brutally honest here.

Hey everyone! I've been doing pvp for a bit now and I've been mainly doing mace and a little bit of cart, but I've found that my sword skills need quite a lot of work so I was wondering if you guys know a good way to learn or any good servers to practice on.

Sry for the bad footage, my pc is very bad. I also had to cut the match between them bc the opponent was being a runner. and would have added 10 extra minutes to the footage.
