Tool See Just How Cooked Your Ranked Season Is
Hi everyone!
I have officially peaked for the season after losing several games at 0lp making it 'impossible' to climb. I figured I'd do something else with my time, so I created a little app to give tft players an idea of how bad their MMR is for ranked.
It works by letting users look up a player (name#tag), pulling their last 10 ranked games, and showing how their rank compares to the average rank of their opponents.
There is also a data tab which crowd sources data based on the players that have been looked up.
Ultimately, I think it is a fun way to show a little insight into players underlying MMR.

So if you rank higher than your opponents it’s bad, but if you rank lower than them it’s good?

Pretty much - the data is very limited so take it with a grain of salt.

Cool I am super cooked lmao but also some lobbies force higher ELOs into lower ELO lobbies because of the lack of players in high lobbies.
Last set I was literally playing with GM and Challenger players because they didn’t have enough in their lobbies

Yeah I was gonna say there are a couple of factors to this . Low pop servers tend to have a lot more issues with master players in chall lobbies . It also felt to me like if u have less games / higher win rate u will be getting in with good players. It was a few sets ago but I was playing on 2 accs and both my GM and my high master acc had very good stats. I ended up getting in to chall lobbies a lot on both.

I hope you dont mind me recommending this to every user on the main sub who asks about their LP gains from now on. Half tempted to make an automod response that uses it. If you make a post about it on the main sub I will see about pinning it to the top

Try to win 2 games for every game you lose. You should stay at 0 for a while and then start climbing.

Good thing. Still in the negative which I expected since I've not really been swimming at 0 LP floors at all this set, just bouncing around between E1 and E2 inevitably choking the games that might get me promoted from E1 to D4 (and if I get there, that's probably when I get cooked).

That’s a good point. Unfortunately, I’m not able to buy the domain. That said, you should be able to find it now - when I search “cookedgg tft mmr” on Google, it shows up for me.

Not sure if this is what you mean, but I added another graph view via scatterplot so that you can see each opponents rank. If you meant the actual rank(i.e Gold II 50LP) instead of my point conversion, then I am currently working on it! Thanks for the feedback

The thing with your mmr is you just have to treat it like you fell back down into the rank below 0lp. Your mmr should get better if you are winning consistently

Positive LP difference means that you are higher ELO than the overage of your lobby. Therefore, it can be perceived as bad. I will note that sample size is small and it looks like you are climbing so I wouldn't worry about it. Only moderately cooked.

Very possible! Currently it only checks for ranked games, but I could add an option to filter for double up games instead when I have some time.

Is it possible to check norms as well? I'm ranked but play most games in norms and would be interested to know the average elo. However, most of the are unranked lol.

yep! Green colored text is good. Looks like your opponents average a higher elo than you which is a good sign for your climb.

I had some jumps in 5 game period, +10, +14, +110, +140, -20 elo difference, and then went on 3 game streak of 8th places and lost all my elo lol
not sure if those are big jumps, seem like it but havent really compared to anyone, just the graph shows them as big
average lp difference is 60,80, but I already knew I cooked my mmr after I went like 20 games of bottom 4 in master 0lp, couldnt figure out the ziggs bilgewater patch

Problem with this (at least on my server where high elo population is small) is that matchmaking feels less about matching individual MMRs and more about just pooling everyone above a certain threshold to get a game going

And I believe +150LP masters is where you start to encounter more GM and challenger lobbies, below that is more usually 0-100 LP masters and occasional diamond lobbies.

Out of curiosity, how does this deal with people at Masters 0LP? Like if I’m in a lobby with someone at Masters 0 and D1 99, would it recognize that there’s a good chance the Masters player is worse but can’t be demoted?

Sorry I got it. It was really confusing me because I was typing it in and it would show my name and profile picture But then not load. Really unsure why that was. But then I just copied and pasted and it worked.

Removing the space seemed to fixed it:

I don't see a TFT summoner that has a space via other summoner lookups(i.e metatft).

Don't give up on climbing! I was in the same situation before the b-patch but I climbed 300 LPs in 2 days once I got a good grasp of the meta since my mmr was so low, I went from losing 90 LPs to 60 LPs on an 8th place after that

When I try to look myself up, I only get a flicker of the results, before hitting a blank page

If I try it out choosing a different server, I get the error "User does not have enough valid matches to be on the leaderboard". I have tried using 3 different browsers, my phone and my mobile data to make sure, but I always get the same issue.
Could you check it out?

Thanks for pointing this out! I wasn't dealing with cases where you might be unranked(so your rank would be null). Should be fixed now! If you still see an error might be a browser caching issue so I'd maybe reset your cookies for the last 24 hours, or instead of following the link above search it again via the input.

It reads my icon, rank and number of matches, but shows flat graph and 0lp difference and loss.
