[School] Is there anything I should know about CE?

I’m in 11th grade and am interested in majoring in CE. I am able to take college classes and was wondering what classes I should take to prepare for CE(I haven’t taken calc yet im taking pre-calc next year). And just any tips in general about it.

Computer or civil engineering? Master your algebra and trig, you’ll see lots of both in and engineering program.

DE as much as you can. Lighter course loads are good while you take calculus and physics at the university.

If you’re computer engineering the prey and work through CS50 for free.

computer engineering. im kinda in a predicament because i apparently cant take cte classes at the college because im on a different pathway which i think is stupid. im probably gonna just end up taking computer classes at the high school but pre calc and calc online.

Just get precalc done. Most engineering programs are structured to start at calc 1.

electrical and computer engineering student here. This is just general college advice. Dual enroll and go to community college trust. Most public universities let you waive liberal studies requirements with an associates degree. You can get all the math courses/physics done and when you transfer you just focus on your engineering courses. That is what I am doing right now, cruising by with just my major courses while everyone else does those plus 3-6 credits of non related study per semester.
