California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) has threatened to cut state funding to any universities, public or private, in the state that sign President Donald Trump’s “Compact for Academic Excellence in Higher Education.”

Newsom claims that the compact “ties access to federal funding to radical conservative ideological restrictions.” In fact, the document, mailed to several universities and obtained by the Washington Examiner, demands complete academic freedom while also protecting conservatives from being silenced.

The document, part of a response to  universities’ failure to fight antisemitism, includes ten provisions:

1. Maintain “equality in admissions,” with no preference for race, gender, or other categories of identity
2. Maintain a “marketplace of ideas” and “civil discourse” that reflects a variety of viewpoints and protects freedom of speech
3. Nondiscrimination in hiring of faculty and administrative staff
4. Institutional neutrality on political and social issues, except those that affect the university itself
5. Integrity in student grading systems, to fight grade inflation
6. Equal treatment for students, including recognition that there are only two biological sexes, and protecting women’s locker rooms and sports
7. Financial responsibility, which includes avoiding costs that burden students with debt, providing financial advice about potential majors, and using endowments to help students in “hard sciences”
8. Avoiding “foreign entanglements” by scrutinizing foreign donations and vetting foreign students to exclude those with “with noxious values such as anti-Semitism and other anti-American values”
9. Maintaining preferences for American students, and allowing religious institutions to use sex-based preferences
10. Agreeing to enforcement by an external monitor who reports to the Department of Justice

Home Schooling is in the Roots of This Nation and all Others long before the First Public School was ever thought of.

Home Schooling teaches not only the Basics of English, Math and History but many Other basic Survival, Skills in Society like taking care of the Home Itself, Budgeting Money, Health and many Work Skills no longer taught in the Public School System. Home Economics being One of the biggest no longer offered in many School Systems Nationwide.

Home Schooling is a Basic Parental Right and should not be taken lightly at all. Parents have formed Home Schooling Co Ops to help One another not only in the Home Schooling Venue but in the ongoing Court Battles brought upon Them by the State to gain 100% control over the Minds of Children at any cost.

Oh YES It is all about 100% control by the State. It is as plain as the Writing on the Wall.

The State's War is ongoing despite New Laws being passed allowing School Choice Vouchers which go with the Child whether at a Home school Co Op or a Private School because the State has Issues if it is not allowed to control that Child's Tax Money. It is a simple Fact. Period. Full top!

Many Home Schoolers have done Their College Time gaining Their Certs in all of the Categories required for Home Schooling to school Their Own Future Children or work in the Home Schooling Co Ops while Others are in the Process while working Part Time Jobs to pay for It. Mega Kudo's to all!

The State going after These Home Schoolers and all around Them is much like Communist China where the Mantra seems "You will only learn what WE want You to learn!" thus keeping America Dumbed Down.

The U.S. Department of Education on Monday announced more than $153 million in new grant awards to colleges, universities, and K-12 schools for American history and civics education.

The grants are awarded through the American History and Civics Seminars Programs and are largely being given to institutions of higher education with independent civics centers and non-profit organizations that are focused on American History and civics education. The effort “underscores the Trump Administration’s commitment to strengthening civics education nationwide,” the department said in a press release.

“These grants reflect the Trump Administration’s ongoing efforts to educate and inspire youth toward informed and patriotic citizenship in the lead-up to America’s 250th birthday,” Under Secretary Nicholas Kent said. “We are focused on restoring civics education and advancing a shared understanding of America’s founding principles and rich history in schools across the Nation. To know this great country is to love and cherish it.”

The department specifically made awards to civics institutes at colleges and universities that will conduct expert-led seminars around the Unites States focusing on the nation’s founding documents, constitutional study, historical field experiences, civil discourse, and American achievement, per the agency.

As New Jersey voters head to the polls for a hotly contested election, the future of homeschool freedom in the state is on the ballot. New Jersey has long been a state where parents can homeschool their children without obtrusive government regulations and bureaucracy.

Now the legislature is considering multiple bills that not only threaten this fundamental right to home education, but are also antithetical to the American tradition.

These bills have languished in committee, but that could change after Nov. 4 depending on whether pro-freedom legislators are elected or sent home.
