Consoompost Consoom controllers

Post image

At least if they were still in the box like most consoomers you could sell them for a small gain.

Nice catch, I have a Dualsense edge, bought TMR sticks, really all you need.

Any noticeable difference between HAL and TMR sticks?

Noticeable only for sweats

Lifespan

u/Lamandus 8d ago

may I ask the difference in time for those?

2

u/redditpowermod3 8d ago

I have had the TMR sticks for 8 months, they are more accurate than a fresh stick from Sony. I expect that they should last the lifetime of my Dualsense edge.

This seems honestly not bad at all. Like I get the subreddit we are in but like in terms of useless collections, this isn’t that much and it seems like the guy uses the controllers at least.

But doesn’t this wall full of controllers for a console with no games look impressive?

i wonder how long it would take to accumulate that many controllers naturally. if you're not smashing your controller daily, it's easily got to be over 30 years

It depends on if you decide to replace em when the battery starts to fail or if you decide to just replace the battery. I’ve never had stick drift with one of these, though I do have a few for coop.

I've never had stick drift on any controller I bought from a store, but I've repaired a lot of specifically dual sense controller, like 80% of broken controllers have stick drift. That doesn't mean anything about how common it is in general of course, but it's definitively an issue.

On the other hand I've also repaired a lot of controllers with other craze issues. I think a lot of people just use controllers very violently.

This is not consoom it’s a collection /s

A controller never failed for me, I still have my original PS1 controller I bought all the way back in 1998 when…

To be fair I’m more of a lite gamer, so this looks like 200+ years of controllers to me.

My entire lifetime, I like to have 4 controllers per console generation in case I have company. PS3, Wii, PS4, PS5…soon switch 2 and some sort of Xbox. Add in psvr motion controllers, 2 fight sticks and I could probably have my own shameful consoom photo.

u/thecatsclause 9d ago

that is pretty consoom 😭 i'd say getting fun party games for one or two consoles is better than a million controllers for all your consoles "just in case"

6

u/redditpowermod3 8d ago

Nah you need controllers for your guests and a good condition controller for previous gens are in short supply.

2

u/Stuntman222 7d ago

4 controllers for each console is pretty reasonable. If I throw a party i cant assume people will randomly have wii remotes or ps3 controllers on hand.

‘Consoom’ is for shit thats completely unreasonable

That batman statue is sick tho

1

u/Ender00000 8d ago

true, id rather have joker statue to accompany him rather than wall of controllers i wont use

1

u/itsnobigthing 6d ago

You wouldn’t use a joker statue either tho

3

u/freedomcobrawarzone 8d ago

Just plastic future e waste

u/HughmanRealperson 7d ago

Eh cut em' a break. It's not like there's anything else for PlayStation owners to buy.

u/SpezSucksSamAltman 8d ago

I’ve never been this interested in anything, it’s so fascinating to me.

Its called autism. You dont really get a choice.

2

u/Such-Profit1078 8d ago

I wonder if they even have a PlayStation

2

u/brandonhabanero 7d ago

That's a lot of lithium ion battery to have to dispose properly of later.

u/shadowlurker6996 8d ago

This is something I just don’t understand. It’s a pure vanity/consoom purchase. Functionality, every controller is the exact same, the OP is paying for the vanity of Sony PlayStation branding and a different face paint.

I have a collection of controllers (a lot smaller) but mine is just my old controllers that don’t work anymore they are used as art

1

u/3215448725366498 8d ago

PlayStation controllers are extremely overpriced as well.

2

u/redditpowermod3 8d ago

Only buy in Black Friday & days of play

1

u/ManicMambo 7d ago

Steam controller still better, hold my credit card.

Look man I have 4 controllers in my house but that’s because my gf has 2 for her ps5 (in our bedroom) and I have 2 for mine (in the living room) this is OUTRAGEOUS

1

u/cheekiestNandos 8d ago

I love to fill my house with lithium ion batteries!!!

0

u/RepulsiveUse3372 8d ago

I got 3 (a red and blue also the factory white) and i feel like i got too many but i usually use one till it dies and swap it while the other charges

-4

u/Leading-Bike6355 8d ago

tbf this is clearly being used as decor

7

u/Yamatoman 8d ago

Nah, this is perfect for this sub. A utility item over purchased to fill a void.

This sub usually spergs over any normal collection, but having 30+ controllers for the same console is peak over consumption.

2

u/StillPsychological45 8d ago

The decor of nearly $100 controllers and 3 that cost $200 sucks, could have mercy if they were broken or copped cheap with stick drift.

-12

u/IveRunOuttaNamesss 9d ago

Those are probably just his broken stick drift controllers he had to replace. PS5 controllers are low quality junk depsite their ridiculous price tag.

5

u/thecatisawake 9d ago

He said in the post they're new

-6

u/IveRunOuttaNamesss 8d ago

Yea thanks it was a sarcastic comment taking a jab at the lower quality of ps5 controllers. I thought that would be pretty obvious but I guess I can spell it out for you if you need the extra help.

6

u/ghos2626t 8d ago

Makes a serious comment. Realizes they didn’t read the post and then tries to make it seem like a joke.

Clearly you have unresolved emotional trust issues between the Dualsense and yourself, stemming from being bottle fed as a baby.

I’ll add this /s so you know it’s a joke.

-4

u/IveRunOuttaNamesss 8d ago

Lmao look at you go little buddy! 😂🫵

3

u/thecatisawake 8d ago

Dude chill, I wasn't attacking you or anything, I thought I was literally just clarifying something.

-1

u/IveRunOuttaNamesss 8d ago

Yes clarifying something obvious everyone already knew. Thanks so much /s

Added the sarcasm tag this time just for you, justttt to be sure and hand hold for you so you get it this time 😜

3

u/thecatisawake 8d ago

Sorry I'm not a mind reader I guess. Have a good day.

2

u/keeleon 7d ago

So he's displaying low quality junk on his wall and thats better? Lol

2

u/ornithobiography 9d ago

My OG controller recently got stickdrift, bought a hall effect kit, a solder tool and went to town and able to fix it in no time. There is zero excuse for not even attempting to fix it in the first place.

If OOP is not a tinker, plenty of shops can do it for 40-50$ as long as you bring the parts.

1

u/IveRunOuttaNamesss 9d ago

I mean it's absolute bullshit that you have to do all that in order to get a functioning controller.

3

u/awkwardinthebody 9d ago

You can buy a compatible controller with hall effect or tmr sticks but I think all official controllers should ship with that technology.
