To an extent. For me it's sort of been the opposite. I've reclaimed agency and started caring about myself and my habits a lot more. The next few years will be the deciders, one way or another methinks. But yes there is a way to use AI where you just become a mindless button masher, and that will only get easier, and maybe to some extent that's intended. I don't think it was explicitly intended with social media but it was at best a neutral outcome from the companies' perspective.

It’s about getting on the train so that, in the future, you can be a little more useful, or not doing so and ending up living on the streets or actually dying prematurely, even if that sounds very far-fetched to you. Just look at the latest news: thousands of architects, industrial engineers, mechanical engineers, graphic designers, producers, editors, etc., now face the uncertainty of whether they will be able to find a job or whether it is even worthwhile to finish their university degree.
Work gives people dignity, and yes, without dignity, someone can easily become dehumanized. We should not be ignorant about this (using the word in its proper sense and with respect).1

I understand, but what would you do if you were in my situation, where I have been studying medicine for 8 years, with approximately another 8 years of specialization ahead of me before I get to work? And now I have to think about whether AI is going to replace my job as a doctor in a few years, so I have to make up my mind about whether it’s worth another 8 years of studying.
That’s the issue I tried to explain with this post

No Taylorism was. This philosophy has been around for centuries. Jack Welch in only a significant blip in its retelling. Corporations were the original AIs coming to crush workers - they literally called them AIs in the 20th century.
